I was very pleasantly surprised. The stay was so comfortable. There was a small courtyard and a cafe. Breakfast was American-style sandwiches. I also had my obedient Corgi to accompany me for breakfast. I was so happy! The hotel is near the water and has a very good environment. It is quiet in the bustle. There is a delicious rice noodle shop at the door. It is also close to the scenic spots. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Guilin!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and we loved it. It had everything we needed and the location was super convenient as it was close to the high street, shops and all the necessities! We celebrated my boyfriends birthday there and he was very happy. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

HOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view. HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk). HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00. HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

For only 100 RMB, I got a private room complete with toiletries and en suite bathroom. Everything is clean. The location is a walkable distance to Guilin Railway Station. I arrived at Guilin West and took the No. 22 bus and stopped at Nan Men Qian Nan. I walked 300 meters moving forward. Before the first crossing, turn right. Walk some more 200 meters or so and the hostel is located to the right next to food shops. You might get confused though if you booked this in English. The name that appears on Trip.com is Guilin Guanghu Inn while in Agoda it is Travel Light Guilin. The hostel's building has the Guanghu Inn in Chinese characters and then Travel Light written in English. So yes, it's one and the same. The hostel is only a few minutes away to the two rivers and four lakes. It only costed me 9 RMB via Didi (like a Grab or Uber app). The reception serves good coffee too! Basic breakfast of two eggs, three slices of bacon, two pieces of toast, and a cup of coffee is pegged at 28 RMB. The best part? Jerry and Jennifer! They are so delightful to speak with because they always are open to help out with that signature courteous and friendly manner. It was my first time in Guilin. I have a feeling I will visit again because of Guilin Guanghu Inn/Travel Light Hostel.

This place is absolutely magical. Me and my friends drank coffee on the roof every morning, the views are stunning. Lily the host is just an immaculate human being with a wonderful heart made of gold. She was so helpful with finding all the crags and good local food! The place has a real character that should not be missed out on! This was the perfect place to meet other climbers and get connected to the community in Yangshuo. The location is perfect for access to good food and good routes. I climbed every day but one! She has scooters, guidebooks and rental gear if needed. The place is legendary! 10/10 would book again! Thanks for the great time!

The hotel location give you access to many public places. 900m-1km to west street, a few kilometers to Ruyi scenic park. The view is amazing, and there are small boats to cross you over to the location that give you access to most restaurants and shops. The hospitality was on another level tbh! ✊🏾👌🏾

Didn’t expect this trip would become one of the best trips I’ve been on in China. Came without much expectation, but this resort is like a nice small community where people from all over the world meet in the common area or lunch time. We even had Christmas dinner prepared by their chef who can cook both western and Chinese food. The owner John is one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve met. Anyone would be lucky to meet him as he can talk to you about a lot of things such as news, global matters and sports. The receptionists and the owner are fluent in Chinese and English. This resort is especially popular with Hong Kongers and westerners as it’s quiet, chill and facing the lake. Only 10 min taxi ride can get you to the city center. Here the average taxi ride is only US$2. The food there was superb surprisingly but it doesn’t even cost much. For US$10 per person, you could get one big fish or 2-3 dishes. The room has heater and AC. The hot shower is nice too. In the lobby, they even showcase some old and contemporary Chinese art pieces. The patio outside is my fapvorte as you can just enjoy your coffee or tea overlooking the lake under the sun. If you are active like me, there’s a running track and a hike right around the corner. So bring your active gear! I can’t recommend this place enough.

Bad: The room is too small, about 10 square meters, the air conditioner is average, the noise is very loud, and the outside machine is like a tractor. It is adjacent to several surrounding houses, and the surrounding air conditioners are also very noisy, which is not cost-effective.

Super location, superb staff (especially the front office, housekeeping and restaurant staff). Big shout out to Alice. Speaks English well and took care of our every need from picking us up to sending us off to our next destination (pro-tip: make all your bookings through her. She not only can make them for you but can also get you a good discount). Facilities were on point. Honourable mention goes to the laundry facilities. Not only a washing machine but a dryer as well (if only all hotels could provide the same).

I stayed in this B&B for two days and felt very happy. I lay on the bed and looked out the window, full of happiness! ! There are many mountains in the distance, white clouds are floating in the mountains, birds are chirping, cicadas are chirping and frogs are chirping, it is full of pastoral atmosphere! ! Standing on the balcony of the inn, looking at the stars in the sky and the stacks of mountains all around. It’s really Wahaha! ! Every morning and evening, I walk one minute to a pier, with scenery on both sides. One minute out of the inn, I reach the RMB 20 viewing platform. The scenery is indescribable. The environment is good, the accommodation is good, the price is not expensive, and it is very friendly to the people.

The location is fantastic, close to the bus station and dock. The owner was English-speaking and very helpful. The rooftop restaurant/lounge was fantastic with wonderful views and there was a great selection on the menu. The food was good and reasonably priced. My only major complaint was lack of storage space in the bedroom. But overall, great value for money and I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is situated in a good location with stunning views of the mountains. The photos used on this app compared to how the hotel actually looks are quite different so they need to update their pictures here or do a little renovation of the hotel. The rooms were ok, our couch had these blood stains on it and the room wasn’t cleaned daily. The pool is small and shallow, don’t let the pictures fool you. The girl at reception was friendly though and they do bike rentals for 30rmb per day which comes in handy.

The hotel is not very big, but it has everything you need and parking is available. The environment is simple, facing Yangshuo Park, backed by West Street, and the alarm clock is quiet. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but they are supplied in time, including milk coffee, fruit buns, porridge and powder snacks, which basically meet the needs. There are nearby restaurants, snacks, fruit sellers, and supermarkets, which are very cost-effective.

Service: The experience is great! The hotel staff are very warm and polite, and will also teach you how to buy tickets more conveniently, and which section of the boat tour is the most beautiful. They are very considerate. They also have a map of Yangshuo. After listening to what they said, I have an impression of various places in Yangshuo. , won’t be confused! The parking is convenient. The service attitude is good and responsive. There are many fruits in the lobby. You can show them off as you like. Perfect hotel. The view from the bedroom is so good that you don't even feel like you need to leave the hotel. The food at the restaurant is also great and at a good price. They don't know how to speak english but they always tried to help with everything they could and we were able to communicate through translation apps. We booked transfers from guilin to the hotel and from the hotel to Yangshuo and everything went very smoothly (and a lot cheaper than we would get anywhere else). The breakfast is only chinese and rather small, but very tasty! We recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area.

The boss and his wife were very enthusiastic and took us to the Dazhai parking lot. The environment of the inn was good. Sitting in the small courtyard, you could see the large terraced fields outside. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the clouds and mist filling the mountains. It was a great trip. It is closer to the No. 2 Observation Deck and farther away from No. 1 and No. 3. You can eat at the inn, which is very convenient. The bamboo tube rice is freshly baked and delicious. The chicken soup from Quanshui Chicken is very delicious.

I saw this B&B by accident, and I had to go there because of the round hammock. Qingshan is the second largest hotel here and the first B&B. It is managed by the proprietress Xiao Qin personally. The boss is responsible for solving the food and clothing problems of the guests. It is a warm B&B. The only flaw of the hotel is that there is no elevator on the upper floors, so you can only go up and down the stairs. After exercising, the little brother who worked hard to help carry the two large suitcases alone, really 🉐 added chicken legs to him! The guest room is very neat and clean. I specifically asked if there are fruits in the guest room. The only bad thing is that the wash basin is too small and there is no place to put things. I can see how to improve it. The fully intelligent toilet is my favorite! I really don’t have to worry about eating at the B&B. The food is very appetizing, and rice wine is given as a gift before the meal. It is sweet but not greasy and quite delicious. Their black tea is also good. It’s so fun for children to experience catching fish, which is something you can’t experience in the city. As soon as the fish catching uncle appears, your results will be doubled immediately! Living here feels like home, everyone is very kind and loving. Before leaving, the boss even said that he hoped we could have time to see the golden rice fields. It was a deal.

This is the cleanest B&B I've ever stayed in, but it's a pity that I could only stay there for one night. The owner of the homestay is from Zhongshan, Guangdong. The view of the inn is very good, but you need to climb a mountain or walk a certain distance, and you can see the Seven Stars with the Moon directly from the balcony, which is very comfortable.
