Areias Do Seixo-A-Dos-Cunhados

Such a beautiful property from the lobby to the views to the beach to the grounds and more. Room was appointed with such care and unique taste. Really loved it here! The breakfast was delicious. Dinner was “fancy” so with a family. Head to their sister hotel to eat!

My husband and I escaped to Areias do Seixo after a week in Lisbon with friends. It was a magical Oasis by the sea and exactly what we needed to unwind. We got engaged in Portugal and came back to celebrate our anniversary. Upon mentioning this to Areias do Seixo, they went above and beyond to help us celebrate with a room upgrade, a hand-drawn note with candles, and even a special dessert. In addition to the impeccable service, all the little details and care that clearly went into designing each space truly set this property apart. Fantastic food, unique wine selection, magical ambiance, we can't wait to come back!

We have been coming to this beautiful hotel almost since it first opened. The warmth and the welcome from the lovely team that is Areias is simply the best. The rooms,food cleanliness and the amazing Spa are fantastic. Everyone should experience this hotel at least once in their lives. The danger is you will not want to leave 😂

It's definitely a dreamy place not far from Lisbon. The rooms are amazingly huge and beautiful. Space is luxury and Areias do Seixo is very spacious. We were in the gold room, which means that we had a bathtub and a firepit outside on a private and enclosed terrace. It was fantastic. Even in November and at night, we didn't feel cold there. The food was delicious and it's very nice to see the kitchen working in front of us. The staff is extremely friendly and their spa is a very nice place too. Everything was perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We couldn't believe how beautiful and peaceful everything was. After a week of sightseeing at a crazy pace in Lisbon, it was so nice to relax, with walks to the beach, and just time to enjoy the room. We took advantage of the spa and had probably the best massage either of us has ever had. Breakfast was good. We ate dinner at the greenhouse restaurant, where I believe everything served was grown on their property, and it was delicious. We also enjoyed the daily treats left in the room, and the creative tea infusions. The room design was so thoughtful, with creative emphasis on nature, and everything was comfortable, with the exception of the lack of a door to the toilet. Still, it was separated from the sleeping quarters and the shower area. Other guests have mentioned that the shower is open, and there is no way to use it without splashing the entire floor. I concur, and would prefer some sort of enclosure around the shower. We took advantage of soaking in the massive tub, with views out into the beautiful grounds. We also took advantage of the fireplace. We loved everything. Lastly, many thanks to the gracious and wonderful staff! They truly made our stay special!

This was the best hotel experience we've had to this date. Everything was just perfect from check-in to check-out. The room was on another level - the fireplace, the bathtub, the ceiling showers, even the sound system (which you could connect via Bluetooth and play your own music) was great. You then have the deck where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of the birds chirping and the waves of the sea crashing. You can walk to the dunes and enjoy the sand on your feet. The vibe of the hotel was just amazing - every corner is well thought out and nicely decorated. Nothing is out of place. We also did the couple's massage (shoulders and back) and it was a really nice experience. We loved every minute of our stay and will visit again in the future!

My jaw dropped and stayed that way for the first hour we were there! This place is unbelievably beautiful and magical. Outdoor and indoor spaces are played with and blurred with a whimsical connection to nature. Each space was more awe inspiring than the next and our room was incredibly romantic. The bathroom was modern stunning and just so cool. Outside was our own private jacuzzi and shower. In the evening we sat on our deck or had a fire in our room while listening to the ocean. This place is very well thought out but relaxed and not stuffy. Staff are always present but give you space to simply soften. They say - you come as a guest and leave as a friend - I would agree, I will be back!

Positive: We were there to rest for a couple of days, the area is nice and yes this is a bit green-ish with a garden and stuff. People working here a lovely, the villas are nice, although they are not going to age well. There is a nice walking path to access the beach,m and you can also use bikes for free. There is a shuttle available if timing suits you to access Santa Cruz, although for the price we paid, it really should be a service to do all day for customers. Negative: MASSIVELY overpriced for what comes after. You can literally hear anything your neighbours are doing next door so if you have little one that need to rest in the afternoon, forget it. Most of the pools are in the shade or next to the road. No privacy at all. The whole area is very noisy, between people in the pool next door, people cutting the grass, cars on the road… if you need to rest go somewhere else. Food is extremely overpriced too.

Still an amazing place after staying there some years ago , relaxing, chilled, staff always kind and available, the seixo beach down the hill is stunning and peaceful, except for the huge waves cashing on the sand , maximum respect ! Food is excellent, mostly from the garden, good experience, tasteful. looking for coming back soon :)
