The only redeeming qualities of this hotel were the staff and WiFi, which is why I’m giving it one star. Beyond that, this is not a place anyone should stay on purpose. Ethiopian Airlines provided this hotel for an overnight layover, but they need to rethink that decision and book passengers somewhere better. The hotel is in a sketchy area, and the noise was unbearable all night long. I think there is a club next door. The room was so outdated that I didn’t even feel comfortable taking my clothes off to sleep. Only one light worked, the lamps weren’t plugged in, and the walls looked dirty. While the linens seemed clean, everything else felt like it shouldn’t be touched. Even the chair in the room had stains on the fabric. It looked like a chair they brought up from the dining area. I didn’t even shower because I couldn’t bring myself to get that comfortable. I also did not eat anything there because I was just uncomfortable. To make things worse, the power went out at 2 AM and stayed off for three hours which I know because I was working remotely during U.S. hours. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. If Ethiopian Airlines assigns you to this hotel, call immediately and ask to be placed at the Skylight Hotel instead.

Dump. Avoid. This is the second time I have been sent here by Ethiopian on a layover - rooms are dark and depressing, might be clean (not enough light to see). Fixtures are falling apart. Cold in the evening. Some staff are OK (cleaning staff was friendly), some are less so. We had breakfast and tried the dinner buffet - some of it was OK.

One of the worst experiences I've had in Addis. No soap, shampoo nor conditioner. All the electric outlets were not working. One towl for two guests. The lamp was broken. This was a shack in some poor neighborhood motel. PS no matching sandals, lol We paid $50 usd

The hotel is comfortable and located in the center of Addis Ababa. Me and my family stayed there for a week. It was lovely nice staff plus good breakfast. The WiFi was also surprisingly very fast. There is also many coffee shops and supermarket around so we had no problem getting what we needed during our stay. Overall good place.

Like most people I ended up there for 1 night on transit with Ethiopian airlines. Hotel is past its best and needs maintenance, although some rooms are better than others. Staff was friendly and helpful. Main 2 issues for me were the bad mattresses and the loud music from accros the street for most of the night (not much the hotel can do about this). Overall it’s ok for 1 transit night

Our flight from Madagascar to UK necessitated a layover in Addis Ababa. We didn’t find out the name of the hotel we would be staying in until we got to Tana Airport. A quick look at Tripadvisor made us think we would be going to a poor hotel. Our experience, however, was quite different to many of the previous reviews. The hotel was about 5 minutes from the airport. We were taken by the hotel shuttle bus. There was a bit of a delay whilst waiting for other passengers. We were welcomed at the hotel by smiling receptionists. We had a large room with a double bed, two armchairs, table, desk and chair, 2-seater sofa, wardrobe and fridge. The bathroom was fine with a good hot water supply. Only one towel between us, but soap and shampoo provided. Dinner was available soon after we arrived - a buffet with bottles of water provided. Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee. The chef/waiter was always smiling. In many ways, the hotel reminded us of basic hotels we stayed in in our younger days in the 1980s. Modern hotel with 21st-century trappings it is not, but for a one-night stopover it is fine. We had a decent night’s sleep which is what you want for a layover.

I’ve never rated anything this low. The rooms are a sh!t show. There is something in the air/some allergen that made me extremely congested. From the phone, you can’t call the lobby. WiFi goes in and out. Bugs crawling on the walls. Dirt all over the floors. Bathroom has mystery water running somewhere. Holes in the walls. Very noisy from the road and hallway all night long. Due to an overnight layover with Ethiopian Airlines, they provided this hotel room. We would have been better staying at the airport overnight; will do so next time.

Parfois, il faut tester le mauvais pour se souvenir pourquoi on fréquente des hotels de qualité. La c’est pratique, on a tout ce qu’il ne faut pas faire Des portes qui laissent passer tous les bruits comme les fenêtres. Un ascenseur qui sonne à chaque étage, des impostes qui laissent passer la lumière du couloir, toujours allumé. Un chien chez le voisin qui braille la nuit. Bref, venez tester le mauvais pour apprécier le bien Le repas est ... epicé

Hôtel de transit classe économique de Ethiopian Airlines. L’hôtel est proche de l’aéroport. Les chambres sont dotées d’un confort minimum. La salle de bain est peu pratique. Idem pour une vitre au dessus de la porte qui laisse entrer la lumière toute la nuit. Buffets dîner et petit déjeuner insipides et peu variés. Vraiment pour un bref transit.
