The hotel needs a reality check. They host groups from overseas on daily basis I.e. people who possibly would not return. Thus, they treat all guests like trash. Just because we looked like the people in the group we got extra bad treatment! First question asked - are you with the group as supposedly they have lower standards for the groups. I have never faced such bad culture in hotel staff ever before in any hotel now living and travelling in Europe for more than 7 years now. Plus the attitude of the staff is unbearable. We left our room at 10 am and by 5pm when we came back the room was not cleaned. The excuse given at the reception was there are too many rooms to be cleaned and since we were on the top floor we needed to wait. And that this is Switzerland and we cannot ask for service and they can still clean the room till 7pm and we have no say in it!! In addition the hotel counts the number of towels they give per guest. There is whole rule booklet of the hotel which is printed but not given to guests. According to the rule book we are supposed to use our towels for 3 days. Since we did not get the rule book we did not know although using same towels for 3 days is unacceptable. If known earlier, we would not have booked this hotel. The housekeeping refused to give extra towels!! The reception lady argued that it is in the rule book and if we need extra towels we need to pay 8 CHF per set. So after agony of 30min. telling them that I was not explained the rules at check in, nor did I get the rule book I had to pay 24 CHF FOR 3 sets of towels or we were asked if we don’t want to pay we could CHECK OUT!!! Can you believe that!!
