It was the wrong time of year, just before Christmas and we felt as if we were the only guests - both in the hotel and in the town. A French seaside town, in Winter, when almost everywhere is closed, the people have gone, the sky is grey and the wind cold, is just as depressing as anywhere else, even if it is on the Med. Our room was small but warm and comfortable. The pool leads off the Reception area; and there are no changing facilities so little option but to walk back to the room, damp. In the Summer Cap d'Agde may be a cheerful town and the hotel may be lively, but not when we went there.

Staff doesnt care at all about the clients. We asked for restaurants advice and also to get the taxi boats. They couldnt care less.
We felt like an ATM machine.
Poor breakfast for 12Eur. Nothing fresh, only old croissants and bread.
Poor food in the restaurant unfortunately because the manager was very nice.
Nice pool although the area needs some upgrade.
Nice room with good AC and shower, though small.

It was a great time staying at the Hotel Gil de France. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was at a great location not too far from the beach. Breakfast matched well the price. Very clean and the room was spatious.

Hôtel très bien, petit déjeuner copieux, piscine agréable. Malheureusement le jacuzzi ne fonctionne pas. Propreté de la chambre assez propre, j'ai quand même trouvé quelques trucs pas fait par le service de ménage. Sinon spacieuse avec terrasse agréable. Prix du parking et du supplément animal un peu cher !

Depuis notre premier séjour, nous avons toujours été bien reçu dans une ambiance cordiale. Tout le personnel fait tout ce qui est en son possible pour que notre séjour ce passe bien. Nous passons parfois 3 à 4 fois au Gil de France et nous contunuerons tout pendant que notre santé nous le permettra.
