The Olivar Suites

Amazing location, great staff with excellent hospitality. Only thing that needs a solution is the pub next to the hotel with very loud music until late night. Special thanks to Alexandra, who has been very helpful during our stay!

Stayed for 8 nights in Executive Suite with private pool. Room was spacious with contemporary decor and spotlessly clean. Found all staff to be extremely friendly and helpful; always willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as relaxed as possible. If you need anything don’t be afraid to ask. Found house keeping and room service to be very efficient and friendly. Really liked having our own private pool which was cleaned daily. We did not really use the main pool but did go on the beach where there are plenty of beds and towels available. The hotel has certainly added to the area of Messonghi and has been sympathetically built with great architecture and landscaping. Whilst the surrounding area outside of the hotel does not offer the same level of luxury, the area did grow on us and there are plenty of tavernas, restaurants and bars to eat and drink at within a short walk of the hotel. Great local supermarket offering all the supplies you would need. The only negatives were that we found the choice at breakfast to be a little limited e.g. no pastries/croissants and the prepared fruit selection lacked the variety we would expect. The price of drinks in the bar is prohibitively expensive even though they do make an effort to provide live entertainment in the bar. We would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to return to the hotel and to Corfu in the future!

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and it has more than met my expectations. Right from the start we had welcome drinks as we were checking in and we were taken to our room along with our luggage via golf cart. Our guide Eugene gave us a tour of the hotel and explained everything in perfect detail. The room was perfect, fit and finish second to none. The private pool we had was ideal to cool off after a day exploring the island. The room was cleaned and fresh towels everyday even more than that on many occasions when returning to our room. It had a neat system so you can turn on do not disturb or I want my room cleaned at a touch of a button. Breakfast was superb, you can order hot items off the menu and have chefs in an open kitchen prepare you food and also there was a lavish spread of cold items. They have proper Smeg toasters that actually toast bread not like those conveyor belt contraptions. Freshly squeezed orange juice, no carton gloop here. Overall our stay was more than we could have imagined, staff were incredible and nothing is too much trouble. Take note Babbis Voulgaris, whatever you are paying them double it as they are worth keeping and are truly an asset to your hotel. We will return, thanks Simon and Danni x

We booked this hotel after a busy 10 day trip around Albania as we wanted somewhere peaceful to relax and spend my husbands birthday. We picked the perfect place with The Olivar suites and were really glad we chose to stay there. On check in they had upgraded us to a suite that was slightly bigger than the one we'd booked and the extra space was much appreciated. The suites are simple but beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The bottle of wine and fruit plate on arrival is also a nice touch. We did get a little bit of noise from the neighbouring hotel in the evening so if you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest requesting a room on the other side of the property. The grounds of the hotel and the communal areas are gorgeous, all of the pathways are lined with olive trees and there are flowers and herbs growing everywhere. The pool and beach areas are great, plenty of sunbeds and nicely spaced out so it feels nice and peaceful. The hotel staff brought some sparkling wine and a cake for my husbands breakfast which was a lovely start to the day and all of the staff looked after us really well. The breakfast options are really good and they cater for dietary requirements really well too. The restaurant is nice if you want a fine dining option and the quality of the food and wine is very good - we did find the cocktails overly expensive though, even for a 5 star hotel. We also ate at Bacchus just along the beach - they do simple but delicious fresh fish. The hotel has a small but well equipped gym, a bike hire place just next door and plenty of trails nearby if you want to get out for a run. We also tried the spa which I hadn't realised was separate to the hotel - I'd say this was reflected in the fact that the spa staff on the reception weren't as friendly or accommodating as the hotel staff. The ladies that did our treatments were lovely and the massages were fine, if a little overpriced. We absolutely loved this hotel, the only thing we'd change is the fact that they do accept bookings from families - for some reason I thought it was adults only (which I think it used to be) and hadn't realised we'd be there during half term. It wasn't the end of the world for us but I do think Olivar has more of an adult only vibe and I can imagine it wouldn't be the most relaxing atmosphere around the pool during school holidays. That said, if you have a room with a private pool, it wouldn't be a major issue. We'd definitely return but most like outside of school holidays.

This is a relatively new, eco-friendly, pet-friendly resort with excellent facilities and service. The accommodation (junior suite with private pool) was comfortable, well thought-through and tastefully decorated. The hotel has a lot of staff working tirelessly around the clock to make sure that guests’ needs are met. They are friendly, efficient and accommodating. The ambiance in the hotel was very relaxing throughout, from the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) left – this was in mid-May, not sure what it is like in July-August though. Very good breakfast by the pool with a combination of à la carte and buffet menu. Small but well-equipped gym and spa offering a variety of treatments – I tried the Cretan massage and really liked it, although at €160 for 70 minutes I felt it was a bit pricey. I strongly recommend this resort and can’t wait to go back for my summer holidays this year! ＜3

Stayed for a week in May with family in 2 suites next to each other for a large family wedding in a venue nearby. Location of room close to reception was excellent , great standards of hygiene & room was cleaned & maintained to a high standard throughout our stay. Room had everything we needed , great bathroom with large powerful shower , seperate lounge area & patio doors leading to the private pool. One observation was that cupboard space for hanging clothes up was a bit limited. Gardens were immaculate & well kept & all the staff were extremely friendly & greeted you with a smile & hello. As we were eating out for 3 nights as part of the wedding celebrations we booked on a B & B basis. Breakfast was great with a good continental section & then hot food & drinks ordered a la carte & food quality was excellent. Pool & beach / bar are across the road & plenty of sunbeds available both at the pool & beach. Beach is pebble but raked & swept every morning. As soon as you sat down iced water was brought to you & drinks service available all day with some great cocktails. Lots of little tavernas , bars & cafes within walking distance & we found some great places to eat & the people are very friendly & make you feel really welcome & most are family buisness. There is also a fantastic supermarket right next door to the Hotel which has a great selection of everything you need. All in all we had a fantastic time at the Olivar suites & would absolutely return.

Had an amazing time . Fabulous hotel , great team always there to help and make your experience the best possible it could be . Special shout out to Alex at the beach bar/restaurant . There’s also easy walking access to the town and enjoy the shops , bars and restaurants .

Wow, an absolute Oasis on a beautiful and most friendly island. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and luxurious, and the hotel is just a dream with the highest quality of service from a delightful team. The restaurant is excellent through all parts of the day with breakfast being different but delicious. Try the Spa too, a fantastic and welcoming team that are both attentive and observant. Booked again for next year. Looking forward to our return visit.

Attention to detail was amazing. Staff at the beach exceptional. Not much in the surrounding area really which was a shame, nothing to do with the hotel though. The restaurant is really not geared up for children's food so watch your pennies.
