Sun Boutique Hotel (Adults Only)

We arrived home 27th June after a lovely weeks holiday. The hotel is a family run hotel everyone was very friendly, it was spotlessly clean,food was good and plentiful. In the room there was a hairdryer safe and fridge. The pool area was so relaxing you could always get a sun lounger and kept very clean. Thank you so much to the sisters Poppy and Marina and to Poppy on reception for a wonderful week's holiday. This hotel is worth a 5 star rating.

Exceptional cleanliness and friendliness, lovely secluded pool at rear,staff cannot do enough for you and to make you feel welcome. Lovely breakfast and plenty to choose from. The restaurant food is quality, we ate here on a few occasions. Very quiet,but a lovely atmosphere always. Will definitely come again.

The staff were really friendly, food was great and we had a lovely time! The family that owned the hotel were very nice and accommodating. The facilities were nice and clean and the food was great. We are planning on rebooking for our next holiday.

Just returned from a lovely week at this small & friendly hotel. We had booked a superior room which was perfect . Room was clean and fresh looking and had a fridge , kettle and good air conditioning. Balcony was narrow but enough room for a table and 2 chairs. Maid service daily and towels changed every other day . We had booked half board as we were unsure of location and it suited us perfectly. Breakfast had plenty of choice and our evening meal was the same . Buffet for starters and desert and a choice of 4 main courses . This choice changed daily . . The food was great , couldn’t fault it . The pool area is kept really clean . It is quiet and plenty of sunbeds available. Staff who are all family are friendly , helpful and they keep the hotel to a very high standard. We had a fabulous chilled week . Thank you .

Friendly family run hotel. So relaxing & welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. We visited in June 23 & returned again September 23. Rooms clean, food good & plentiful (we went half board) Close to beach, lovely swimming pool and sunbathing area, enough sunbeds for all. We hope to return this year, we've found a little gem.

Just returned from a week’s stay, and enjoyed it so much. Beautiful family run hotel, spotlessly clean, room cleaned & towels changed 6/7 days we were there. From our arrival & meeting Poppi on reception we immediately felt at home. We had a ground floor room with a non-pool view, but that’s what I expected, we brought our own kettle as we knew the room didn’t have one. Breakfast as explained numerous times in previous reviews, was continental and to be honest, I actually preferred it rather than the usual cheap sausages, burnt bacon, tepid beans etc that I’ve been used to at other places. We sat outside in the sun eating ‘healthier’ than normal. A very relaxed vibe, Greek music playing softly in background while we watched the world go by on the road outside. The staff were lovely, very polite, very helpful, and because my knowledge of the Greek language is pathetically restricted to about 3 words, I was so glad that every one of them could speak perfect English. We ate & drank there a few times and no complaints. The pool area was again very clean, surrounded by traditional tropical plants & even a small herb garden which we saw the cook regularly appear to take some cuttings to use in her dishes. Never a problem getting a bed, nobody needed to get up early and ‘reserve’ a bed with a towel, there was ample beds for all. Pool was never cold, cleaned every night, and that area was a perfect sun trap, right up until gone 8pm. Beach was about 5 mins away and we visited a few bars for meals and drinks and can honestly say that unlike other resorts we’ve stayed in that offer a sea view or are literally on the beach, their prices were no different to inland bars. We went into Heraklion by bus one day, and were advised to buy our bus tickets in local supermarkets as they were cheaper than paying on bus. Tickets were a flat price of 1.10 euro regardless whether you went one stop or 20 stops. Anyway, without wishing to repeat other reviews, we loved it, very quiet during the day despite the main road immediately outside, many thanks to Poppi, Marina, and the young waitress (Effe) for your hospitality and we will definitely return

We stayed end of August begining of September the weather was good as was the hotel .We booked B/B so it seemed the rooms for this were on the ground floor ( 1 to 11 ), a corridor just off the Reception/Restaurant the room it self was ok smaller than we have had in greece,we did live out of our suit cases as the walldrobe was on the small size ( Safe and Fridge in it ).As we were on the groud floor the small balcony out look was not good large bushes with a building behine.The staff were great nothing was too much trouble, beds/Towels change regularly .We eat in their restaurant many times food was good and just enough for us no waste.The pool area can get full more so when people are leaving that day they tend to stay around the hotel.Our home transfer to the airport failed to turn up and after a couple of phone calls the hotel arranged a Taxi I will say we are still waiting for TUI to reimburse us with the Taxi fare.Would we stay there again most DEF.

If you want a basic, clean and friendly small family run hotel then look no further. The rooms are a bit on the small side but perfectly adequate as you only sleep in them anyway !! Lovely spotless pool area with plenty of beds, never busy and great for just taking it easy. I ate there on a few evenings and the food was always plentiful, quick and tasty. The only downside that there wasn't a bar to have a nightcap in but understandable as all the fantastic staff & owners work incredibly long hours as it is. Always very easy to find fault with anywhere that you stay at but you're in Greece and on holiday, just chill !

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Sun Boutique hotel... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there...Marina, the 2 Poppy's and all the staff are lovely ... very friendly and helpful... genuinely want to look after you and make sure you enjoy your holiday.. The hotel is spotlessly clean, pool area is well looked after...lots of sunbeds...peaceful and private... We were half board and the food is excellent... If you are looking for a smaller family run hotel for a relaxing holiday on the beautiful island of Crete...would definitely recommend the Sun Hotel We had room 212...overlooking the pool..Great air con which was much needed...would definitely go back...x Tony & Julie
