Overall myself and my partner had a very good stay and enjoyed ourselves at the hotel but there were a few things that we feel need improving to further benefit future guests’ stay. The staff were all very friendly and greeted you with a smile every time they went past. The animation (entertainment) team were always encouraging people to take part in a wide variety of activities and made them fun and inclusive for all. They would often come around and speak to us by the seating area, we got to know a few of them quite well too (particularly Reva). There were plenty of activities on offer, a 10 Dinar refundable deposit is needed for some of the equipment needed for certain activities (eg: ping pong). Having the beach just at the back of the resort was also ideal, with the option of either spending time by the pools or the sea. We also can’t praise our Server enough (Khalil), we sat in his section the first night and then continued to for the rest of the time we were there, he would regularly top up our drinks when running low, and was very attentive to keeping his section clean and organised. Even though you can go up and help yourself to hot drinks at the machines, it would be nice if guests could help themselves to cold drinks and not wait on the Server as when it is busy, it may take a while to get a refill. Even if this is a small station with 1 member of staff to serve drinks this may be beneficial at certain times of each meal window. The variety of drinks included in the all inclusive service is sufficient, and there are some cocktails that cost extra if you fancy. There are a few things to be aware of when staying here; the guests are mainly French and German so learning some common phrases in these languages may be beneficial. This may also tie into not all staff knowing English (it’s not a native language in the country). There were also quite a few people on site trying to sell you things (eg: henna tattoos, photography, boat trips, quad bikes, watersports) and we often felt pressured and harassed, they would even approach us when we were just lounging on the sun beds or eating. Another thing is that we found the hotel a bit run down in places (eg: cracked tiles, chipped paint, etc), with some maintenance and refurbishment needed. We think the photos they have on the TUI website were a bit deceiving of the reality of the place and could do with an update. Some of these photos are not of the general areas you would see or use on a daily basis as well so a change there would aid future guests in knowing what they’ll see and experience. We had noticed that a large group of young teenagers (in surplus of 100) had arrived and stayed for a dance convention and schools collaboration from a few overseas countries as well as Tunisian groups for 5 days, but we found them very disruptive, disgusting and rude. The large groups they moved around the facility in were constantly causing noise, mess and havoc. To summarise it, their behaviour

It's a lovely hotel with great pools and beach area. There are (payable) water sports at the beach. We went parasailing for 40€ for the two of us, which we thought good value. Sun loungers and cushions are supplied free but it's nice to tip the guy if he brings cushions specifically for you. 1 or 2 tdn is enough. Regarding beach towels... leave a deposit of 10 tdn per towel with reception wherein they give you a token. This is exchanged at the animation booth for a towel. You can refresh your towel every morning after 9.30am. Before final departure, leave your towel with animation staff and ask for the token back. Then cash in the token at main reception. Works well. The resort staff are really nice. Not all spoke English but that wasn't a problem as we also speak French. We generally tipped the waiting staff 1 tdn each time they brought us drinks but it's not compulsory . We tipped our room maid 5€ on the first day and she was always very pleasant with us. We'd booked a standard room but it seemed very large. The air-conditioning worked well and there was a fridge. There was also a safe in the wardrobe which was great when leaving valuables in the room. The room was very clean but looking rather tired, like it needed renovating. But the bed was comfortable and it had blackout curtains on the glass doors which was useful to keep out the morning sun. Food...As is to be expected, it's mass catering and self service. The food is varied and plentiful. If you want to experience new foods you can. If you want pizza and chips every day that's also possible (sad but possible. Lol) There are fresh omelettes or fried eggs made to order in the mornings. There's also a traditional Tunisian restaurant which is waiter service and you are allowed to book once during the holiday. I honestly wouldn't bother. The food was average and the fish main course was awful. Totally overcooked and dry. The waiter was rushing us, obviously the chef wanted to pack up for the evening and just dumped the plates in front of us, without explaining what they were. There was no choice of menu other than fish or meat main course. I suffered from a poorly tummy but I can't say it was the food for sure. My husband was fine. When out and about everywhere accepted £ and € as well as Tdn so don't get too much foreign currency as you can't take it home and the airport exchange rate wasn't great. We got a taxi into Port El Kantouai for 6 Tdn each way (approx 2€) which was great value. There are various boat trips to chose from. We went on a Catamaran trip (The Albatross) which I'd highly recommend. Overall I'd say it was a great holiday, albeit not a four star hotel in our opinion. We wouldn't go there again as there are so many places to see, but good value for money and we had fun.

Just spent 2 weeks here and giving my honest opinion. First off, The hotel is classed as a 4* this is true in terms of the resort itself. The hotel is spotless, good variety of food although quite repetitive. Indoor pool was good, the louder "party" pool is good for a few drinks and taking in the entertainment from the excellent animation team. The quiet pool was perfect for the first week great place for a swim and to relax and soak up the sun, the second week we were there saw it become another party pool with people using Bluetooth speakers to play music loudly, put us off returning for a few days in all honesty. What isn't 4* is the rooms, we had a "superior room" beds were comfy enough but pillows were terrible, far too large in height. We had a few issues in the room, the bathroom light switch was more or less hanging off the wall with a large gap along the top of it. The main light in the room was useless as it didn't come on unless you held the switch on the wall down, soon as you let go the light went off. We also had the bottom half of our door handle come loose and struggled to gain access to the room, that being said once reported to reception it was fixed that day. Can't fault the maids, when they done the rooms up while we were out during the day we came back to the room being spotless. I also feel like there was a real language barrier between us and reception which wasn't ideal, we found it a real challenge to get anyone to understand us most times and we were not the only ones who thought this after speaking to other guests. One other negative was the 3 guys who try and sell you excursions within the hotel, I say 3 but really it was only 1 of them who was really pushy when it came to selling the trips. We were approached by 2 of the men and we politely declined and were not bothered again. One of them was really bad, believe his name was Nabil. He was at us most days more or less pressuring us to book a trip, we told him several times we weren't interested but he just kept trying. I get that they are trying to make money but when your there for a relaxing holiday it's quite off putting. Negatives aside a final special mention to 4 absolute gents who are employed here who really made a difference to this review. 1st is Nomen in the restaurant, he worked like a Swiss watch no matter how busy the place was he was always on top of our drinks and always very welcoming and friendly, when Nomen wasn't working the service was pretty bad in terms of having to get our own cutlery and stuff from other empty tables. 2nd is Khmaise, this man might very well be the kindest happiest man I've ever met, he works so hard for everyone and I feel he goes unnoticed by a lot of guests for the work he does, he never once passed us without saying hello to us, an utter gentleman and an absolute credit to the resort. 3rd is Alexi from the animation team, the whole animation team were great but Alexi was a stand out. Fantastic 2 week stay, Could not fault the hotel or staff, Khalid in the restaurant was truly brilliant and couldn't do enough to help us out always had a table ready for us. Animation team are fatntastic and always make time to chat with you, Special thank you to Kouki and Alexi who truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and our youngest smile. Food was amazing loved trying different food away from brittish food try new things only problem we had was on site photographer was a bit pushy at times after saying no to him.

The animation team were absolutely amazing kept us fully entertained. Food was ok hotel room was nice but slightly dated. Was a lovely week away. Plenty of sunbeds and all the staff from waiters to cleaners were absolutely brilliant. The beach pool bar was the best of the pools as was alot quieter.

Excellent holiday amazing animation team Franco,kooky,Tito,Rico all amazing 😊😊😊😊😊 The location is great for exploring Tunisia and the hotel is extremely good Food and drink in plenty supply but the animation team make the holiday ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
