This hotel lacks atmosphere The breakfast is adequate but not fantastic Sky bar is open for limited hours and has to be booked Just a rail available in the room for clothes Central position is an advantage lobby very un welcoming cleanliness excellent

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of Alghero just a short walk to the waterfront and old town. Our room on the third floor was clean and tidy (and kept that way throughout our stay) but lacked storage. There were hardly any drawers for undies, etc. and just an exposed rail for other clothes. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower very efficient and always plenty of hot water. Our room overlooked the street so quite noisy with the window open but, fortunately, the air conditioning functioned! Breakfast choice was limited but ok, however the thing that let it all down and prevented me giving it a higher rating were the staff especially in the restaurant - unsmiling, grumpy and not very helpful. They all need to go to charm school!

Stayed here for a week in May. Hotel was in great location and the room/ breakfast couldn’t be faulted. One issue was the “Sky bar”. It closed every night at 10pm and even at 9.40 the staff were doing their best to discourage us from having another drink. Also ,even though the bar is widely advertised as “the”place to go we weren’t allowed access on 2 nights due to some “private “ function. In addition the bar is a small extension of the breakfast area and the seating isn’t exactly luxurious. As a bar it disappoints and I wouldn’t be recommending it as a place for a great experience.

It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, however in my opinion its a good 3 stars. Everything is clean, breakfast is nice, staff is friendly and location is convenient to reach to and from airport by public bus for 1Euro.
Nice view from the sky bar but make sure to be there before sunset to enjoy it. Not when its getting dark.
Rooms ars very basic, have tv, tea kettle and mini bar.

Since this hotel caters to large groups, when the groups arrive, the wi-fi, which is not great to start, becomes unusable. Our bed was rather hard. The shower stall in the bathroom was tiny. The breakfasts were good and fortunately based on our room type, we were assigned to the 9th floor breakfast area thus avoiding the breakfast room madhouse on the first floor used by large groups. The ninth floor bar was a good place to have a nightcap. The main attraction of this hotel is its location - which is close to the old town and just a short walk to the water.

The Hotel Catalunya is conveniently located near the harbour, a short walk from the old town. Free parking is available in a large public lot, a block from the hotel. The 9th floor Blau Skybar serves breakfast, and the view of the old city is fantastic. We had a similar view from our room. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was a little cramped. A USB charging port in the room would have been appreciated. The elevators need service. The rattles and shakes were discomforting. It also takes a long time to get to your floor.

A total disaster with the wi-fi. At breakfast there was no option with real coffee. This is no 4-star hotel. Maybe 3-star.

Near the port. The view from the breakfast room is gorgeous. Main concerns are a lack of parking and the shower turning extremely hot or cold in an instant.
