Comfy bed, good breakfast, nice golf course. The big let down which down graded my rating from very good to average was due to the attitude of the security man on the night of Sunday 24th March We had brought a round of drinks and sat down to enjoy them when he came up to us and said that we had to leave as the bar closes at midnight. His attitude and manner was rude unprofessional and this put a sour taste in our mouths. If he had explained that the bar was closing and would we mind moving over to the seats in the reception area to finish our drinks we would have gladly complied. He did the same to a couple at a table next to us who were also annoyed at his attitude. Some training definitely needed here.

We booked a 3 day break at Christmas but unfortunately my husband got flu so we had to postpone our visit until later in January. I was a little apprehensive as I had recently read some negative reviews, but my fears were totally unfounded as on arrival we could not have had a better room. We had booked a superior room and it was situated on a corner with a huge wrap around balcony and a beautiful view of the lakes on the golf course. The room was a very good size with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with a good size bath. We had booked dinner each night and the food was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the young lady at reception who booked us in. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

We booked a suite & expected luxury but were disappointed with the tired decor. We had a scabby looking spa bath on our balcony which the kids were excited to use until they saw the brown water. The staff weren’t particularly friendly - the service was poor. The golf resort adjacent to the hotel had a scabby driving range & not many facilities for families. The area wasn’t great, not much in walking distance.

The hotel is magnificent but they need to fire the chef. A chef that cannot cook a simple burger does not belong in the kitchen! The Angus burger arrived raw....I sent it back, it arrived microwaved into a golf ball. !!!

We have stayed here many times but unfortunately disappointed with our stay this time because of charging us for using beverages in the minibar. When we checked out I stated we had not used anything but the next day I they automatically charged my credit card for beverages we had not used. I sent several emails complaining and finally got an answer that they were going to check this out. They have not answered further as to crediting the invoice they sent. This is bad customer service and a way to lose future customers . Recommend taking pictures of the minibar contents on arrival and departure if you decide to take a chance on staying here.

Hotel Alicante Golf was a marvelous oasis in a busy touristy area. The staff was so friendly, efficient, accomodating, spoke English, and very helpful. The hotel was very classy, modern, comfortable in every way, the room wonderful, comfy clean bed, immense lux towels, great shower, and a restaurant woth flexible hours, delicious food & service, and an outdoor terrace with a lovely view. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

After having an evening meal out I was expecting a good nights sleep before a big international match. unfortunately there was a mechanical fault with the aircon, it was so loud, it was rattling. I turned it off at 1am to try and get some sleep. unfortunately then had no aircon, no lights and no electricity to charge my important business equipment. I then fell over and injured myself as I was in pitch black. I recorded the loud sounds it was making in the morning when I had to turn it back on. The following day the hotel receptionist apologised and said a complete refund would be given…….unfortunately 24 hours later the full payment came out of my account. I contacted them and discussed via email what had happened but Solia Traves & Tamar Molina had no understanding or sympathy and asked why I didn’t report at 1am in the morning when I’m exhausted and just needed sleep. I would not recommend staying at this hotel to any business travelers, it’s dated, many repairs need being done and some repair have been done but as a cheap botched job. Has to be the worst customer services, hotel stay and 4 star rating hotel I’ve travelled to over the passed 27 year. I would leave the video of the sound but this sight won’t allow videos. If anyone wishes to hear it please just ask as I’ll send it to you.

Very good and quiet location with a nice view over the golfcourse, but the confusing thing is that the name of the hotel has nothing to do with the golf.. The rooms are nice with comfterable beds, but most of them come with a tiny balcony with no privacy.

When we arrived the staff greeted us amazingly, good customer service by Alejandro and others. In our room we had a hole/vent in the ceiling which was a bit creepy and scary (especially for 2 women) because it exposed the pipe work and there was a bright light coming from it. Cleanliness was 9.5/10, only a tiny bit of muck in the corners of the room but that can't be helped. Breakfast was luckily included but not up to the standards you would expect, bacon was near to raw for my liking, very fatty, but thats just a personal preference, other food here is too expensive (€40 for a fish meal) The spa cost an extra €15 per person and you have to buy swimming cap and flip-flops (€6 per swimming cap) to actually go into the spa area and pool. The outside pool is good but saltwater instead of chlorine which personally I don't like but others may prefer. Overall, good experience and customer service and staff were amazing, thank you for a lovely night
