The Beach Hotel (and its sister hotel, The Residence), is perfectly located right by the beach. The staff are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The whole place is squeaky clean. We only had breakfast at the hotel. Great choice of foods, something for everyone. Local produce evident, including fresh baked bread, salads and fruit. Getting about is easy with two local hire car firms, a taxi company and cheap, frequent buses. Best thing about the hotel is the view of the beautiful bay. Fabulous turquoise sea accompanied by mountain views. There are a string of quality restaurants a short walk away. Most of these are traditional, with a couple of pizza/burger places also available. Since our last visit a couple of late night cocktail/Shishka bars have opened up, so a bit more appeal to the younger generation.

All the staff are very, VERY friendly! Rooms are clean, bed sleeps good. Only the door to the balcony does not keep out all the noise and the curtain is way too small. It should be twice the size to keep out the (sun)light in the morning. Breakfast (hotel), frappé and lunch (at Surreal) are all good. We will defenitely recommand Almyrida Beach Hotel! Thank you for everything.

13 of us stayed here for a family birthday holiday. Can't fault the friendliness, professionalism and efficiency of every single member of staff. We were made to feel so welcome. The food was amazing! So much choice! Everywhere was clean and tidy and it was a lovely gesture to have a bottle of wine in our room on arrival. We are already planning to come back next year for our honeymoon : )

Our third visit to this delightful hotel. The staff are all fabulous and go out of their way to ensure that you have a good experience. Breakfasts are VERY good. The whole place is immaculate, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds. The pool is lovely and its situation near the sea and village could not be better. Evening meals in the hotel are very good quality and excellent value but for those who want to experience tavernas, there is a good variety from gyros pitta bars/bakery to traditional Greek food. The resort has expanded but still has the village feel.

A very well run hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who want you to relax and enjoy your holiday. Lovely rooms with comfy beds. Good buffet breakfast. Try cocktails at sunset at Almyrida Residence roof top bar. The hotel is next to the sea. The resort has a good selection of bars/restaurants. You can get a bus to Chania 30 min journey.

The location of the Surreal bar on the beach of Almyrida cannot be beaten. The food is good and freshly cooked, the service good and friendly and the entertainment great Thoroughly recommend a visit for a amazing experience if you are in this area, and worth a special trip if you are not!

Overall a very good stay. Just a few comments for people searching these reviews for guidance. Rooms are quite small but a don't come on holiday for my room. The pool was lovely. If you had teenage kids it could be an issue as too small for games and lilo's. Food was good it was very Greek lots of meat dishes to choose from. If I had small kids it might have not been so easy. No kids corner as in a lot of hotels. The vegetarian selection was very poor. I over heard a lady complain one evening that they had the shame veg dish out as the night before to which waitress replied you can have salad and rice with raisins. Not really a selection in comparison with us meat eaters. They loved putting meat in all the veg...peas and ham. potatoes and ham. Lovely little village with a row of bars and restaurants. We went to this awesome café every day La Cannelle, superb coffee and delicious cakes. Bus to Chania 5 times a day cheap 3.20 euros one way. disappointing last bus back is early at 18:30. We got taxi back one evening 35 euros. Really good vibe in Chania in the evening. Not much in terms of entertainment in hotel but very relaxing.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The staff are welcoming, friendly & cannot do enough for you. It was spotlessly clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the pillows too! The breakfast was fantastic and such a huge selection to choose from. The whole experience was first class and planning to go back again definately. It has everything nearby beach, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars. It also has the most amazing views of the mountains and the bay. Fabulous cannot fault it.

Stayed for a week with a friend in mid May. We booked a twin sea view and had a lovely view over the pool towards the sea. Spacious room with comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space. Excellent shower with very good complimentary shower gel/shampoo. We stayed B&B, breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent pool area with lovely pool bar. Hope to return next year.
