Blue Elephant Boutique Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

This place was highly recommended. Exceeded our expectations. Food was out of this world and portions were good. Service was amazing, and servers were very friendly. Best meal we had on our trip by far. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Definitely worth the price.

OMG. !!! You must go x What an amazing meal we had. This is 1,000 times better than any Michelin in England. Michaela was a truly inspiring and helpful waitress, advising on wines etc And suggesting the best pudding. All the staff who’s name I didn’t catch were the best xxxxx

Amazing. Stellar views of mountains, valley, sea. Very boutique in feel but still pragmatic. It is on a bit of an incline but stairs to help manage. Amazing amenities, and beautiful views to the sea. Rooms are very well laid out, chic, and comfortable. Good reliable wifi. Beautiful infinity pool/lounge space overlooking sea view. Nice restaurant and with really delicious breakfast that changed up a little bit every day for some nice variety. Variety of room types including private balconies and private and semi-private (shared with adjacent room) plunge pools. This was a very luxurious feel. Understandably some have view of rooftop of other rooms but sea was still visible. If possible request for most front facing ones for best views - in our preference - (but all are nice). Clean, quiet, friendly, attentive. Then there is the stellar staff to match the quality of the hotel-resort. Everyone was amazing, friendly, smiling and helpful and really made the experience that extra level of elevation. Penny at the reception jumped through hoops to make things happen and we are very appreciative of this kind of effort. The friendliness and well paced engagement of other staff gave the resort setting all the more warm and welcoming feel including shout-outs to Claudio, Bruno, Pavlos, Michaela and others. Thank you all for a magnificent stay! Highly recommend.

The hotel is very nice, clean, modern and has an amazing view. It’s definitely higher class. Two things stood out: the exceptional friendliness of the staff (shoutout to Penny at the reception for making our vacation a pleasure right from the start) and the unique qualities of the chef. We ate in the restaurant of the hotel for 4 out of the 7 nights of our stay because it was so good. The food (& cocktails & service!) are of the same quality you can find in the classier or even Michelin-star restaurants. Wish I would have had the opportunity to tell him that in person. Also the breakfast was such a delight with lots of variety every day. We’re definitely making plans to return there one day.

Great place to stay, nice and very clean rooms; everything you need is provided. Housekeeping team cleans the room every day. Swimming pool is beautifull and plenty of sun loungers are available. Almyrida is on walking distance with a big variety of restaurants. The Blue Elephant team is amazing, very friendly and helpfull for all your needs. Their own restaurant is a little bit more expensive then the local ones but it’s worth it: quality/ price is amazing. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice. This is a recommendation for all travellers visiting North Crete.

Beautiful location with attentive but not intrusive staff The food was first class a complimentary starter followed by beef cheeks, chicken and a salad all superb The desert was out of this world tiramisu with a twist I’ll definitely be returning

I stayed at the hotel and it was really nice. Rooms are lovely, large, clean and comfy. The hotel staff were really friendly. We had a meal in the restaurant and although really expensive it was lovely! Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Pool area is fantastic and pool itself was also really good. Throughout the hotel there were great views. Had a massage at the hotel and this was also very good. Would recommend.

We visited the spa at Hotel. There was a great range of spa treatments available including hot stones and swedish massage, and even a nail salon. We also paid extra to use the steam room which was nice. It was a shame that as spa guests we weren't able to use the pool as this would have been really nice.

Me and my boyfriend had a great week here. The hotel is new and very modern. It was spotlessly clean and the superior suite we booked was large with modern bathroom. In reality, the private plunge pool is not worth the extra cost as the water is so cold - it’s under shade all day. So we actually spent more time in the main pool area to get the sun. Breakfast was good - plenty of options but my partner struggled a bit with gluten free. It did become a bit repetitive but we enjoyed it. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening - best meal we had! We also had a massage which was nice and relaxing. Negatives - drinks prices are steep and the local bars down the hill are much cheaper. It would have been nice to have daily water in the fridge. The hotel coffee isn’t great but there’s a great coffee bar nearby. We booked the Samaria Gorge hiking trip - a 12 mile hike which we enjoyed but some people would struggle with the terrain I think! Almiriyda is a small resort so we felt we outgrew it after a few days - we headed into Chania for a day which was awesome and also nearby Kalives. The local beach is very congested so I would suggest visiting alternatives. Overall we loved the stay and would go back!
