Zante Village Hotel

The hotel was scruffy unclean small not what we got told it was going to be staff was rude and no English food same day in day out shower didn't work properly it just trickled when complained the staff and rep didn't want to know she was a waste of time and bo amenities or beach was near the hotel and had to get a shuttle and cost 60 euro to get to zante town lift never worked the whole 2 weeks and if u was disabled wouldn't ne no good the welcoming was despicable had to find our own way to the room I wouldn't recommend this hotel or the holiday has nothing for children no night life boring got sold dream but was a nigh**are

This is a very run down hotel and needs work. When you turn up and you’re on the third floor and the lifts have been took out and no one to help with cases. Cold hot breakfast nothing is kept at the temperature it’s meant to be if that was in the uk health and safety would have closed this hotel. Luke warm water if you’re lucky. Whilst we were there they had a Greek wedding in the function room which just happens to be in the middle of the hotel. If you thought you were going to sleep before 3am in the morning Wrong. It may as well of been in our room. No consideration for the guests staying there. I wouldn’t give this any more than 2 stars. If your not expecting much you won’t be disappointed.

Anyone who thinks about booking the zante village should really think twice , As long as you do not expect to have a warm shower a warm breakfast and lovely quiet night go for it. Our room was very basic which was not a real problem for us, but the bathroom was very shabby and the taps on the bath ran constantly, when trying to have a shower with the tap on fully hot the best you could hope for was lukewarm but was mostly cold as was the breakfast Cold eggs bacon beans and mushrooms , yummy! On Saturday there was a wedding and the music was really loud that went on to about 4 am, the other nights loud music from the bar stopped about 2am

The hotel on the outside looks clean and tidy, this changes as you move through the place. We arrived at our room and noticed how basic they were. We wrongly presumed there would at least be a kettle in the room, there wasn't even a cup or glass for you to make a drink of any kind. The shower was luke warm most days if you were lucky, we were advised it was due to a fault but it continued on and off. The taps etc were all rusty,the shower curtain was dirty and the toilet seats did not fit the toilets correctly. The beds were like sleeping on a table, rock hard and so uncomfortable.the pillows were ok. The room was supposed to have maid service, they literally came in and emptied the bins, the beds etc were not touched and the towels and bath mat were not changed all week. There was a half drunk bottle of water on our bathroom window ledge on the corridor when we arrived and it was there when we left and there was a partly used toilet roll left on our friends too. We had a fridge in the room which buzzed all week. It did not work for the first 4 days and was only looked at when we complained to the rep dispite us constantly reporting it. The food was poor to say the least breakfast was all we had luckily, the hot food was barley luke warm and the heat lamp above the bacon never worked all week. I managed to scrape a bit of French toast and jam and yoghurt and musli in 2 bowls as the bowls were literally the size of a dipping pot. The pool was clean and nice and tidy although some of the sun beds need replacing. Wi-Fi says on web in communal areas says on paperwork in rooms it is in communal areas only but very poor connection. Staff in restaurant areas did not speak, not even to say morning and did not attempt to even smile. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, there needs to be a lot of improvement to make it a pleasant holiday. I would definitely not rate it a 3 star it's 1 or 2 at a push. And everyone we spoke to agreed and were not happy with the travel provider for rating it any higher. The only good thing about it was the positioning of it. It was on the edge of town so quiet, It was a short walk into town, all be it along a busy road. with a free mini bus to the beach if needed a couple of times a day. I have just found a review from 2020 saying practically same things surprised it's still running

Just returned ..hotel great location ..lovely pool ...quiet through night ..lovely views ..easy walking distance to main centre of alykanas ..just be carefull on roads no paths ...food good choice.we were b and b .little kitty cat who I adored there ..staff nice..it states air conditioning in rooms but we where told its 6 euro a night ..would return ..enjoyed it

Nice hotel. Clean pool with enough sun beds at the end of August. Beds made daily and bins emptied. Courtesy bus to the lovely beach a few times a day. Food ok. Poor pudding choice at dinner. Friendly helpful staff.

ΘΕΤΙΚΑ:To φαγητό ήταν εξαιρετικό! με ποικιλία και εύγευστο... μπράβο στον σεφ... το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό και πάντα πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει. Το ξενοδοχείο είχε παροχές αρκετές και ικανοποιητικές. ΑΡΝΗΤΙΚΑ: Τα δωμάτια θέλουν μια μικρή επιδιόρθωση... όσον αφορά ένα φρεσκάρισμα στο βάψιμο λόγω της υγρασίας στην περιοχή και γενική επιδιόρθωση στα μπάνια οπωσδήποτε ! !!!

Rooms need updating. Lift not working in fact non existent. Thank goodness we were only bed and breakfast. Breakfast appalling. Swimming pool good. It may well be a budget holiday the hotel is not of a standard you hwould expect.

After reading lots of reviews on Zante village I was a little dubious about what to expect. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised , it was a lot larger and better presented than I expected. We got a warm welcome from the receptionist and room keys etc sorted imminently. Walking through there was a nice modern seating area overlooking the bar area / pool . The pool is beautiful/ clean and plenty of sunbeds , we never had any problems all week getting beds for 7 of us. The bar staff was amazing friendly and nothing was a problem , one of them even gave my wife / kids a lift to the beach in his own car as they had missed the hotels shuttle which leaves / picks up at certain times . The breakfast was ok , not excellent but plenty of fruit breads cereal etc , the common stuff . I preferred to walk down the road to Nikos bar but other members were satisfied with it. The rooms are spacious and clean , the only negatives were they were very dated and had no kitchenette and could do with bringing up to date. Also recommend if you want a warm shower to shower before 5.30pm . All in all I had a great holiday here , it was 10 minute walk to centre of town , not as dark as everyone says and no drama for me .
