Hotel is nicely situated in Amsterdam near the Oosterpark and the Dapperbuurt. The Tropenmuseum and Artis are on walking distance. The are a lot of dining possibilities in the area but due to COVID restrictions often take-away only or outside on terrace. There is no air conditioning so on hot days it gets very hot in the room (west side). Also there is no fridge/minibar to cool your own drinks and there are no drinking glasses only 2 coffee cups. The toilet and bathroom are very small which makes it less comfortable for larger people. The toilet lacks a toiletbrush which faces problems for large eaters

I booked multiple rooms for friends and family to come to my wedding and the service and price was good through and through. They even allowed some of my friends to check out a day earlier and paid back the money for a night.

Nice rooms, with a view. Nice hotel. The parking lot at the hotel is very convenient. Friendly personnel. Good beds, good shower and well scented shower gel. All very clean. Separate toilet in the room is also nice.

We stayed at the Amsterdam Tropenhotel with our parents, kids and brother. We wanted to stay in a nice environment (looking out of a window and seeing a stunning view), with restaurants and museums/Artis at walking distance. Amsterdam Tropenhotel was the perfect location AND the staff was very friendly, experienced and professional, the rooms were comfortable and very clean, the reception area was inviting enough to spend time there, the breakfast was delicious. Even the corona measures were up to date, good to follow and friendly communicated. The location, next to a beautiful park, in the middle of a city, next to the Tropenmuseum was perfect: accross the street were restaurants (do eat at Louie Louie) and in the front a parking lot and public transportation. Artis and Micropia, Amsterdam Central Station at walking distance.

Very nice hotel. The staff was super friendly and helped us with everything. The breakfast buffet was not too special, but good enough. The only thing I was missing was a mini-fridge in the room, and maybe a night lamp. The location is good too. Oosterpark is literally next door, and nice to use the private parking lot. Would definitely stay here again.

... what a weekend ... arrived / checked in on Friday and plunged into the Amsterdam nightlife ... Back to the hotel, the safe was open: laptop, jewelry and money were gone. No sign of breaking in, the room was open by a key-card, Go down to the front desk to report the robbery. Instead of help from the hotel stuff, had to hear that , it's not theirs problem and we have to report it to the police ourselves ... No support or compensation, just indifference from the hotel. That was my second and last stay in this hotel, pity to see what got out of it, shame on you...

Fijn om na het bezoek aan Carré terug te wandelen naar het hotel. Fijne schone kamer met een goed bed en een nette badkamer. Het toilet is apart maar wel erg smal. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd, het personeel erg vriendelijk en de ligging aan het Oosterpark heel erg mooi. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!

Hotel perfecto para pasar unos días, Wifi súper rápido, personal muy amable, habitaciones seguras, terraza agradable… el baño súper bien (la ducha es una maravilla). Buen acceso a transporte público, vistas bonitas, barato teniendo en cuenta la relación calidad-precio… Nada más que decir, muy agradecida por la estancia. ✨

Établissement bien placé pour profiter du centre d’Amsterdam. Bon rapport qualité prix et personnel très agréable ! Chambres confortables. Cependant le ménage laisse à désirer. Assez poussiéreux dans la chambre. Le personnel de ménage ne fait pas les lits malgré le fait qu’on mettions l’étiquette sur la porte. Malgré tout un très bon séjour !
