We arrived at the hotel to be told that our room, booked and paid for , was not available because of some "sewerage" problem. The reception staff were cool enough to have booked us in another hotel nearby....where we learned that they actually had overbooked..They could have warned us beforehand.

Great location. In a very quiet neighbourhood, but just 2 short blocks to get to some nice restaurants , grocery and the tram. We are at a nearby Indonesian and Dutch restaurant was very good. Staff are very friendly. Very nice lobby with a sitting area and a reasonably priced bar. An outdoor garden looked pleasant though it was a bit too wet for us to be able to enjoy. The room is a bit on the small side, though that is what we expected. The bed was nice and large and a great shower/bath. Would have been nice to have a small fridge and real glasses in the room.

What a wonderful little find in a quiet neighborhood - yet within blocks of transportation and short walks to museums, food and the beautiful Vondelpark. While the room was very basic, and small, the incredible service from Michelle and her team made up for all of that. Delicious continental + breakfasts, all day coffee and tea, lovely breakfast area and little outdoor garden for relaxing. My companion became ill during our second stay at the hotel, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. I was provided bowls to make soup, plates for the simple food I brought to my companion each day, as she was too ill to leave room for several days. I would stay again in a minute, asking for the largest room they offer. Old school care and attention, even an old school safe with double keys (like safe deposit box) for accessing and protecting valuables. Service service service.

We got a hot, stuffy room that faced the setting sun. No AC. Which i will put on me. I usually am good about checking this prior. They did provide a fan. But wish that the blackout curtains had been pulled to keep the heat out. Breakfast , for a fee, was fair. Location is off the busy main streets, but an easy walk to the art museums and city center. Had to leave the key for the room each time we left the hotel. Steep stairs, but thankfully there was an elevator. TV in room.

Great place, clean and comfortable, only thing that would have been better is if they had notified me before hand that there was construction going on in the building. It wasnt particularly loud but i did wake up im the morning to a surprise of hammering and sawing.

I only stayed 1 night but even if I stayed longer I would leave happy. It’s close to the museum area and easy access to the airport. The staff is kind and helpful. Room was enough there was only little smell from toilet but if you close the door it goes away. I recommend highly.

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel was wonderful ,easy to get to most locations on foot . Unfortunately the accommodation was very dated , lacked character, very functional institution like room. Bed uncomfortable, walls very thins,i could hear every sound of the next door occupant,slamming of doors etc.

Staff was great and very friendly. Location is fabulous. We walked everywhere. Room was very small and dated, but very clean. Staff requests you leave your room key at front desk when going out, which was strange but not really a hindrance. Would stay here again.
