The Hotel Aalders is located close to the museums, restaurants and other fun things to do. It is in a very walkable location and is close to public transportation as well. Above all…amazing staff who were always friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Aalders, got the small deluxe single room. Room was clean, bed was comfy, toilet is spacious (with good water pressure and hot water), room was made everyday, windows can be opened, had a kettle and 2 usb plugs for your devices!
Staff were super friendly and around 24/7 for u to drop off/pick up your keys, they even gave me a not and a small bottle of prosecco on my last night!
Located less than a 5min walk to tram 2/12 and the airport express bus, its super convenient to get around, and also near the major musuems!
I have nothing but good things to say about my stay!

If museums are your goal in Amsterdam plus proximity to the canals this family owned hotel is an excellent choice. Affordable in comparison to other choices in this area, customer focused, personal service. All the staff including cleaning staff were great but RORY deserves a special mention. He shared lots of useful information as well as the history of the property. They are planning additional renovations in the lobby in December. My suggestion- capitalize on your family history, it's what makes this hotel special. Note- we did standard room and it IS European small/ tiny. But a great base to walk to Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and canals.

Nice hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, a small hotel bar and good breakfast. Perfekt location in the city centre. Bus to airport leaves just around the corner.

The hotel is in a surprisingly quiet residential area quite close (blocks) to the museums and a tram station-really perfect for a visit to Amsterdam. There are lots of restaurants in easy walking distance, as well as canal tour and bike rentals. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed the ample breakfast, and honor bar.

We found this property as a last minute option as we're coming from Canada and added Amsterdam in last minute....the hotel Aalder is just such a great vibe, room was modern and I LOVED the products you provided in the shower!!nIt was just a great feel all around with ow the hotel is ran, the honesty bar, the kindness etc. One of our European highlights!
