Classic Motel

This motel is unsafe. Someone tried to break in after midnight. That person turned the door knobs and pushed the door.Then (not sure if it's the same guy wearing a black hoodie) stood in front of the window and sneak in 3 different times, 3:00, 3:30 and 4:44 I had my daughter with me so I was very worried and scared for we both safety. I did not sleep all night and waited for the sun rises and leave. There was a drunk homeless guy in the front of office when I pulled up the driveway. The blinds was not working. People from outside can see us. While checking in, the guy charged me $15.00 and didn't answer my question about the charge. In the morning, waited outside the office for check out for half an hour. Office is closed. Made 4 phone calls left 4 messages, no reply no call back. Very lousy motel Regret to stay in this motel. I was grateful that nothing happened to both of us I don't recommend this motel to anyone especially family that with kids, not safe

Even if you are not hitting the sights and scenes at Disney, this hotel is a wonderful find. The price is right, it's clean and the manager is very accommodating, getting a microwave put into my room on request. The only drawback for us, was there was no desk area for doing some quick work while we were in the area. Other than that, it was clean and renovated. Staff should keep their eyes out, though, for some guys who appear to be homeless using the tables - but don't let that deter you from booking into this little wonderful gem of a motel.

Loved the entire room and amenities. Very close to Disneyland and we slept like rocks in super comfortable beds.

This place is a hidden gem. If your on a budget and rather spend your money at Disney and less on a room this is the place. The staff is so nice here, they all have great customer service skills. The general manager Mike was so kind and helpful. The room was very clean and cozy, loved the bunk beds for my kids. Disney plus was ready to watch on the TV and Hulu/netflix. The water pressure in shower was great . I drove to Disney and the mickey parking garage took 2 minutes. Also you have a view of the fireworks. The room and motel overall exceeded my expectations. Book it !

I was very pleased with our stay at The California Inn. Our room was clean, the bed and pillows were super comfortable and the bathroom was so modern. I loved the rainfall shower. The snacks were a nice touch. It was quiet and I felt safe and secure during the night. The check in was easy and the staff was friendly. They even offered me shuttle service and a later check out time when they found out I was going to the Disney Parks. I would definitely stay again. Just be careful of the showerheads, they have such good pressure, the water will come out of the shower and onto the floor. They do give you extra towels though (I guess in case that happens).

I want to say only good things since this hotel in honesty was a cute little hotel. To start they are not marked very well and are actually in parking lot behind a liquor store. The surrounding area was a very unsavory neighborhood. When I checked in the clerk came out of a back room and didn’t ask for an ID or credit card so he literally didn’t know who I was. They have some outdoor games near the rooms that are nice….until someone decides to play cornhole right outside your door at midnight. There wasn’t a closet and instead there was a little stand in the bathroom you could hang clothes on but it literally fell apart when we hung one small shirt on it. The rooms were clean and the shower was great. This place has lots of potential but just needs a little more professionalism.

Great location, good rooms, good price point. The staff needs to be more available in the mornings. Couldn't find an Ice Machine. the bathroom door was a slider with big gaps that afforded little privacy.

Room was fresh and not outdated. Shower was way bigger than expected. Down side was no shower products in bathroom first morning. Had to drive to 7-Eleven at 5:30 in the morning to get soap for a shower. No one at front desk that early. Other than that overall good stay.

The room was good for a motel. But you do get the motel problems of hearing loud neighbors and people nearby. In addition, our smoke alarms battery was dying and was chirping non-stop. Went to the front desk and they didn't know what to do nor did they have replacement batteries. I pulled the battery so we could sleep. Also request room cleaning and no one ever cleaned up. They dropped off snacks but didn't clean the room. It was overall a decent experience but these areas need improvement.
