DoubleTree by Hilton Changbaishan Hot Spring

Very underwhelming hotel facilities. The hotel laundry service was priced far too high. When the hotel staff came up to collect our laundry and we gave feedback about the pricing, she left without coming back to follow up with us. The staff also came across as slightly dismissive, explaining that the pricing was “normal.” I live in Singapore, which is already an expensive city, and even there we do not have such unreasonable laundry prices. You could practically buy three new pairs of socks for the cost of washing one pair. They even asked us which city we had visited previously, and we mentioned Shenyang. The staff then said the laundry pricing there was standard because he had worked there before, which was honestly not true. We paid much less at hotels in Shenyang and even received free laundry services. To their credit, they did compensate us by allowing five pieces of clothing to be washed for free and offering 20% off the remaining items. However, with the amount of laundry we needed to do, the total still came up to nearly 500 yuan, which was far too expensive.I hope the hotel can reconsider and improve the laundry pricing in the future. On the first day of check in ERIC 和Jackson assisted us and even taught us how to buy the tickets for changbaishan. However they were on break during the rest of our stay which led to quite an unpleasant stay. The ground crew did not communicate and handover properly and they forgot that we were going to the mountain and made us wait over 30 minutes in the lobby for the transport that never came. Location wise, there’s nothing nearby and food choices were limited. However it is very near to the changbaishan mountain and this making the trip to the mountain relatively accessible. Hotel Breakfast is not bad too, many choices and the concierge is really friendly and helpful. Overall it was an alright stay but we expected better service for the price we paid for.

Double Tree Hilton is awesome hotel with professional service from the ground staffs. Friendly front desk staffs, attentive housekeeping team Wonderful buffet breakfast and dinner at the "LUSH" ALL DAY DINING team. Double Tree signature biscuit is always our favorite and thanks for the free Valcano onsen and free ride back and forth to the ski activities. Will definitely stay here again for our further visits

We just love this lovely hotel surrounded by the forest and mountain! The buffet dinner was a pleasant surprise to us with the good variety of local foods. The hot spring opposite to the hotel was another place you should not miss too.

The hotel is offering a high level of service (much more then expected). They helped with clothing (for very cold days), tickets and free transport to the railway station!!!

Extremely disappointed with the service and hospitality at this hotel. Experience with the front desk staff is a hit or miss. Two of them were so sulky that it made me instantly regret staying at the hotel. It totally missed the mark of a 5-star hotel hospitality experience. Almost all of my requests made in advance prior to arriving at the hotel were ignored even though the hotel had previously acknowledged them in the chat. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but we found no such arrangements provided upon our arrival. The main restaurant was closed, there was only a small Korean restaurant open upstairs. The hotel is secluded and tucked away up on a hill. We had to pay ¥160 for a return trip just to have lunch at a nearby establishment. All in all, this was a terrible choice of a hotel and I regretted spending our nights and money there.

Amazing stay, good conditions and services. Snow Wang is wonderful and provides great help.
