The Museum - Au Lit, Jérôme!

This was the third time we have visited this establishment for a 3-day visit. All the rooms are extraordinary as they are full of antiques, curios and books, and unusual decorative effects. Ours had ceiling made of shells in the bathroom and an unusual tropical plant as a centerpiece. The decor, comfort and cultural details help to refresh the mind and body and the excellent and comprehensive, surprising breakfasts help to refresh the palate. The location, in the upmarket Zuid area, is very convenient for the Museum of Fine Arts and other cultural sites, bars and restaurants, and minutes away from the River Schelde and it's new riverside development, and transport links. The owners are superb and welcoming hosts.

Beautiful BB , rooms are all unique and very exquisitely decorated. Lydia welcomed us warmly and treated us like friends. It is obvious that they love their little treasure that the have created . Would come back anytime

Au Lit Jerome in Antwerpt is the most luxurious bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in, and is yours for reasonable rates. It is located on a mixed commercial/residential street, and from the outside doesn't look like anything special. But inside it is a beautifully furnished residence with museum-quality furnishings and art, and with a pleasant garden in back. The proprietor Lydia makes sure your stay is pleasant in every way. My room was full of beautiful antique items yet had all the comforts of a modern building. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was large and well-designed. The room has a coffee/tea maker and complimentary bottled water. The building is on a busy street but you hear almost no street noise save for an occasional passing siren. There was absolutely no inside building noise. Lydia prepares a delicious multi-course beakfast from scratch which can favorably compare to something served at a five-star resort. Lydia's husband and co-proprietor Eric is very friendly and can engage you in interesting conversations on a wide range of topics. I hightly recommend Au Lit Jerome if you are in Antwerp (Eric and Lydia advised they also have a B&B in Ghent).

The room and building were both beautiful. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. You can tell that a lot of love and attention go into the property. Breakfast was delicious and included a lot of different tasty treats. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay, the room is beautiful and the breakfast amazing. We will visit the place again when we visit Antwerp and recommend it to all our friends.

Het was een unieke en fantastische ervaring om in deze B&B te verblijven. Het is echt een oase van rust in hartje Antwerpen. De gastvrouw is zeer hartelijk en warm in de omgang. De suite was zeer karaktervol. Ontbijt was fenomenaal: heerlijke eigen gerechten van de gastvrouw gemaakt met verse (streek) producten. Een kwaliteitsvol en huiselijk verblijf!

In oktober 2023 waren we met drie bevriende stellen op deze zeer bijzondere plek. Het is er geweldig. Alles. Onze mooiste gezamenlijke 'hotelervaring' ooit (en we maken dit soort stedentripjes al heel erg lang), om nooit te vergeten. Dankjewel Lydia!

Nous avons passé une nuit dans la magnifique demeure de Lucas et Bénédict. Excellent accueil, très belle chambre, excellent petit déjeuner, literie super confortable, très bon emplacement. Deux petits points négatifs cependant: - la difficulté à se garer (problème généralisé à l'ensemble de la ville d'Anvers) - si vous avez une chambre côté boulevard, on entend les voitures malgré le double vitrage. Mais cela ne nous empêchera pas d'y retourner et de retrouver Jérôme....
