Heaven Upon Rice Fields

There is a very good hotel called Hevanna Phone Right Spiel and he who provides good service there and also a good hotel that provides vehicles to go here and there at any time. If you have a need, you can book in that hotel....................

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. So the distance between hotel and any place full of people is quite big, which can be a problem. Although the service was good, the owners and coworkers in there were helpful. Breakfast and dinner was good, in „Sri Lankan” style. About the room everything was great, the view is amazing, there is provided tea and water. About the localization, the center is full of culture buildings and temples, so 4 days are more than enough to see this.

We had a fantastic stay :) Yash was a very helpful and friendly host who made sure we had a great stay. She booked a very nice and honest tuk tuk driver and we had different excursions. Pradeep is a very good chef and the food was delicious. The room had amazing views to the rice fields. The AC worked perfectly. Thank you so much 😊

Everything about this stay was great. Everybody was so kind and helpful, the woman who greeted us, Yash, was so incredibly nice. We had most of our meals here and the food was delicious. They supplied us with unlimited water, they arranged a safari in Wilpattu national park for us and a guided tour of the city at very reasonable prices. When we asked if we could tour the city without going into the UNESCO protected areas, she called another guide for us and explained everything to the guide. The view from the rooftop on the rice fields is amazing, and the rooms were nice and clean. You MUST stay here if you are visiting Anuradhapura!! Also, they were really nice to the stray animals, and even let a pregnant kitty come inside sometimes, which is a testament to how kind they were!!

Very great host who helps you with everything you need and answers all your questions. She is so kind!!! Nice and clean room and a wonderful view upon the rice fields, as the name suggests 😄 10/10 would recommend

We only spend one night, but we had the most amazing stay. The place itself was beautiful located between rice fields, rooms spacious and clean and had a very authentic feel to it. The woman running the place, Yash, was incredibly helpful and lovely. She booked us a tuktuk guide, Jana, who took us around the town and to all the historical sites - he had a good knowledge of the town and was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend Heaven Upon Rice Field.

Definitely recommend this guest house! The staff was absolutely lovely. We even got an upgrade for the room. The view from our room was amazing. They where flexible in regards to the timing of our dinner (and the food was also really nice which was a great bonus). So all together we really enjoyed our stay!

We booked the room with balcony overlooking rice fields. After arriving we were told that we booked a different room but we can stay in the room with balcony for 1 night and then moved to a different one. My booking was telling otherwise. Anyway, we could deal with that. What actually made me write this review was a tuktuk driver the owner provided for us. The receptionist confirmed they contact him if needed on regular basis. This guy Jana was complete scammer. Firstly, he was ignoring our list of places we wanted to visit. He wanted to show us some museum which we politely refused at least 5 times, still he took us there,luckily closed. Wanted to see stupa he said it is closed and we can look at it only from distance and ect… However, the biggest scam he tried to pull was 50 dollars entrance fee for foreigners to visit these sites.He said he will take us there without paying this fee but we must follow his instructions to avoid certain exits at sites, say things if we get approached by some people. Just absurd nonsense. I was so angry with him I just wanted him to take us back and never see him again. No one asked us for any ticket anywhere! He was rude, condescending and ripped us of 8000 rupees. We think if the hotel is trying to provide the best for their clients they should know who is working for them. Avoid Jana!

We stayed at Heaven Upon Rice fields for 3 nights. The room we got was very spacious and clean. We really had a clear view upon the rice fields and were able to see a peacock more than once. The Staff at this place is very nice and the hospitality is top notch. There is not a thing you can't ask. They will help you with everything, no matter what. If you need a scooter just ask for it. They even help you to get a TukTuk for the day. I highly recommend this place for alle people who want to stay at Anuradhapura.
