Mare Monte Beach Hotel

This was first all-inclusive trip for both me and my wife. That being told, we were somehow biased toward all inclusive concept of vacations, while being tempted by its practicallity and a fact, that we have a 1Y old son. I have to say, we were very pleased and surprised by the proffesionality and friendly approach from all hotel employees. Coming by the end of September, I was aware that some all inclusive hotels (mainly Egypt) are often limiting its services and offering. This was not the case and we were amazed by food variety, rooms comfort, beautiful beach and great views from the pool. We are quiet sure we will be coming back this year for at least once, if not twice.

It was the fourth time we came to Mare Monte. We like it there. The staff is very friendly. It feels like coming home. We have our friends there who stay for six months in the hotel and it's nice to see them again. The room is very clean, incidentally whole the hotel is very clean. We have had a very spacious room with seeview. We hope we can come back next year.

The whole experience was excellent. The staff at the restaurant was friendly and helpful as well as the reception. The rooms were clean. I know that I return to the hotel at some point in the future. The only downside was when we wanted earlier breakfast due to trips / departure that the choice of food was very limited. But it I understand the opening times of the restaurant and I was happy to get hot coffee :)

A very nice surprise. I wouldn't say it's quite a 4 star hotel, but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff definitely make up for it. I would definitely like to mention the food in the first place in the hotel, the selection is not crazy big, but it is very good Mediterranean cuisine, which is not very common and since I have been to Crete several times and tried the honest home cooking of a Cretan family, I have to confirm that the food at this hotel is very close to that. All inclusive is very well thought out here, sometimes something could be a little less cheated, but the drink and snack is not bad. The hotel is clean, tidy and they also take care of the beach. The rooms are after a light refresh, it's nothing to dazzle, but then again, as I say, it's fine. Since I didn't expect anything from this hotel, I was extremely pleasantly surprised.

This is one of the best hotel on Creta Island I recently visited with family. For great value you got really high hospitality, nice fully refurbished rooms and tasty food. Beach is perfect for families with children ! You can also enjoy lot of activities inside hotel or on beach. Hotel have also really great SPA!

1/ location - the road behind the hotel is not pleasant, you hear the sounds of cars / the sea side is great, the sound of the sea lulls you to sleep. Some ground floor rooms on the sea side do not have privacy. All upper floors are perfect. The walk along the beach to Georgioupolis is nice, short. 2/ beach is sandy, out and in the water, easy to get in and out, they have baywatch along all beach - waves cca 1 m hight and they come and whistle you back closer to beach, they keep red flag even if the sea look like flat lake, nothing under water only sand - no reason to snorkeling 3/rooms have bath or shower, there is no tea set in the rooms, the fridge is quiet, no in-room bar, the furniture is simple, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is minimalistic and clean, the TV is small, it has mainly French, German and English language channels, one the channel is CZ - 24news 4/ all services in the hotel are perfect, they speak EN, FR, GE 5/ the food is very tasty, not boring, beautifully arranged

Everything was perfect. Location, hotel, food, staff very friendly, helpful, clean beach, sunbeds free. Animation team take care only on French speaking guest. Every activities French only. Nothing changed even though we asked why.

Accommodations Simply furnished but comfortable rooms. We had access to the room directly from the pool, which was perfect. Cleaning every day, complete satisfaction. Food Excellent!! Very varied, tasty, pleasant and smiling staff. Beach Nice sandy beach, free umbrellas and sunbeds. Everything clean, well maintained. Gradual access to the sea, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Just the island of Crete :-).

Crete is beautiful, the weather is wonderful, the sea and the beach are clean. The hotel is older, but clean, the staff pleasant and the service in the restaurant nimble and very friendly. But the beds are like trampolines and the bathrooms are tragically small. Unfortunately, we were accommodated above the service entrance, so we were constantly disturbed by the arrivals and departures of employees and supply trucks. The disappointment for me and my children was that there was no ice cream, nor crepes, nor souvlaki as part of the all-inclusive snack, as we had, for example, in Corfu. Ice cream was only available for lunch or dinner. To be completely honest, I would prefer to have ice cream during the day by the pool, not in the evening. Drinks from the postmix not much, beer terrible, wine not good, average. That's my disappointment. But it might be enough for someone. Real coffee (espresso) for an extra charge, the coffee in the all inclusive from the machine is not real coffee. Ice cream by the pool during the day is also available at an additional cost. I don't like that, otherwise it would be fine. The hotel kitchen cooks very well and the selection of dishes is really varied. I think everyone chooses. Hence my average rating.
