Minura Cala Galdana & Apartamentos d'Aljandar

Excellent hotel service. Very good food, there are regional dishes. Note the churros!!!, they are so delicious that the weight measuring device will be fit to throw away. Great pool and bar next door, handsome lifeguards watching over. Very good internet via WiFi but better to read a book and don't forget UV cream. You can explore the beaches on the island with a guide.

Fantastic stay at Minura Cala Galdana - half board in a two bed apartment was great value for us as a family of 4. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and hard working, especially Juan Jesus and Candela who were welcoming and attentive. The food selection at breakfast and dinner was impressive. The beach was stunning and a 3 min walk away. Water shallow and calm and lots of beach cafes. For adventures there are pedalos with slides, paddle boards, canoes and boats to hire. We enjoyed lunch at Mirador overlooking the beach as well - this was such a treat! Great kids disco as well, thank you to Sara and Jasmine. We will be back!

It's about our fourth visit to the island, we used to stay at Victoria Playa in Santo Tomas. We visited Cala Galdana loads of times and both our parents stayed at this hotel in the past so it became a special place for us. We decided on this holiday to book this hotel and we haven't regretted it. Lovely room, fantastic staff and location. Food is plentiful and delicious with choices for every taste. The nighttime entertainment is excellent and I cannot fault anything about this hotel. I will be back and thank you to all the staff for making my holiday so special.

This is our 4th time staying at the Minura Cala Galdana and yet again we have had the most fantastic time. We stayed from 6th to 13th August. We last stayed in 2017 and there were a few changes which made our experience even better. The rooms have all been renovated and we were delighted to find that our room had a kettle and mugs. Perfect for enjoying a coffee overlooking the beautiful view. We stayed in room 605 facing the sea. Our room was kept immaculately clean by housekeeping, and was more than adequate for the 3 of us. We appreciated the air con as it was very warm at night. We were also pleased to find that there was quite a selection of British TV channels. Not that we were watching much, but it was nice to have the news on in the mornings and watch some of the Olympics. The food was very good. We were happy that the hotel still has a gala evening once a week and we loved trying all of the Menorca food. For the rest of the time there was a fantastic collection of dishes with something for everyone. Our daughter is notoriously fussy, but she ate well for breakfast and dinner. The bars were equally as lovely. We had lunch at the pool bar quite a few times and the food was delicious. The evening entertainment was very good. Something for everyone and it really gave such a wonderful atmosphere. Every single member of staff from reception to housekeeping are wonderful. They were all so kind and friendly, not to mention very hard working. We found the restaurant staff to be delightful and we loved chatting with them all. The waiters by the pool work so hard, are constantly busy, but we’re so friendly and welcoming. Our stay was perfect, but the only thing I think could be improved upon are the sun beds. I would suggest that the hotel put in a system of removing towels from people who have not returned to their sun beds after a period of time. We watched one large family place towels around the children’s splash pool every morning “Time for Prosecco” and then go out for the day, returning late afternoon. Meanwhile lots of families with little ones were disappointed when they had nowhere to sit. They weren’t the only ones doing that. We would get a sun bed after breakfast and when we were heading off to the beach, we would give our sun bed to someone else. We went out for two days to explore Ciutadella and Mahon. We accepted that there would be no sun beds when we returned, so went to the beach. I should stress that it had no impact on our experience, but we could see how it was impacting others. Especially those with young children. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We will most definitely be returning.

Returned again to Minura Cala Galdana Villas D'Aljander from 5-12th July 2024. It was not our first visit as we have stayed there many times over the past 20 years. As usual, the reception staff were very friendly, helpful & welcoming, and we quickly settled into our holiday. All of the staff were very polite and worked hard throughout our stay, to ensure that our rooms were kept clean & tidy, leaving us free to enjoy our holiday. The restaurant caters for all ages, with a variety of food available, served indoors or al fresco. on the balconies. Again, all of the restaurant staff were very friendly and hard working. The apartment that we stayed in was fitted with a fridge, kettle, toaster & microwave, and some microwave cookware was made available, to cook lunchtime snacks (thank you Xec). Although clean & comfortable, the apartments would benefit from a general refresh as the current decor is looking slightly dated, and would benefit from a lighter decor theme, to bring more natural light into the apartment. Also the patio set was showing signs of wear & tear. That said, we had a great time, really enjoyed our stay, and will be returning again next year.

The Hotel is top class super swimming pool nice spotlessly clean rooms. Lovey large swimming pool. Sarah and Michele are the best entertainment managers ever. Two suggestions to improve replant the palm trees that were cut down round the pool and replace the toilet door with a proper door instead of a shower door.

We've had an amazing time. The hotel is beautifully clean. Our room lovely and spacious with our own patio. Beds were really comfy and pillows soft like marshmallows. We were half-board. We were not disappointed. So much choice. Food was delicious. We were spoilt and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. Professional and very efficient. A special mention for Ana Lopez in the Restaurant. She was always happy and clearly enjoys meeting new people. Welcomed us every morning with a smile and a friendly greeting. A valuable member of the team.

Excellent hotel, get a front upper room pay extra but worth it for bigger room and views, note cheaper if you upgrade at hotel. Staff excellent, entertainment every night good. But no entertainment in hotel or surrounding area after 10.30 very quiet. Beach near hotel beautiful but very busy sun beds bit expensive but worth paying. Pool area all sun beds taken ( even if not used ) within 5 minutes of being put out not good and frustrating Food varied and of good standard Overall I would recommend this hotel

Excellent hotel/ apartments we stayed for ten days in a prestige suite on a half board basis, on arrival we asked for a low floor due to mobility issues we were shown a suite which although up two short flights of stairs (11steps each flight) we were happy with as there were handrails on both sets of stairs. The reception staff and the dining room staff were very friendly and helpful as were the bar staff. The food was always plentiful and we enjoyed our meals each day there was always plenty of choice and neither myself or my husband had any issues with the quality of the food. The swimming pool was lovely although the queue for sunbeds each morning was very off putting the only day we stayed at the pool we just happened to be passing and two beds were free there were plenty of sunshades , The on site pub was very reasonably priced and made excellent cocktails, there is a small supermarket on site as well as a private Drs clinic . The evening entertainment was very good and we enjoyed it most evenings, the resort is quite small which we enjoyed as there were no large parties of roundly youths etc .The beach is just across the road and two beds and a shade were€23.50 per day the beach is beautiful and clean and the sea was very pleasant, there are toilets and a beach restaurant which was open from 9am until 11pm, they also did takeouts of baguettes coffee cold drinks etc if you are visiting with children there is also a shop selling a wide range of inflatables and buckets and spades as well as clothing. We had a fab holiday and booked to return as soon as we got home ,we are looking forward to returning and staying in the hotel along with our friends in September
