Hotel Rural Morvedra Nou

The location is very quiet and is secluded. The rooms are very disappointing as they are very small with barely enough room to unpack everything. There is no separate bathroom and therefore very little privacy when showering, we waited outside whilst the other showered as we are mother and daughter and like some privacy. The car park is not close to the hotel and accessed down a very poorly lit ( at night) track. We used the torches on our phones but then requested a torch which was much better. Staff will collect you in a buggy if you don’t mind waiting a few mins and if you get their attention via an intercom at the entrance. The resort is immaculate and breakfast was good but not amazing. The main pool has plenty of loungers but does not have a shower to use prior to entering or leaving the pool. The pool at our room is small, and lots of flies etc are attracted to although it’s cleaned daily we also had to keep on top of it. Fresh cold drinking water is supplied freely and staff are very friendly and cannot do enough. This hotel doesn’t warrant 5 star due to the size of the rooms, very poor access paths, small pool, no privacy for self care, more like 3 /4 star and it’s just very expensive for what you get.

Very relaxed hotel, great amenities and lovely staff. Beautiful location. Their sunset bar is about 1km away from the hotel and you’re taken there and brought back on one of the hotel golf buggies. Sitting drinking gorgeous Menorcan wine whilst watching the sunset over Mallorca was a superb way to start our evening.

Serene and elegant grounds and accommodations; gracious and welcoming hosts; really beautiful breakfast spread featuring delectable local specialities, and diverse, excellent menu at the pool bar and restaurant. Really easy to get from from the hotel to some truly gorgeous beaches, and to Ciutadella for a night out. Wish we could have stayed for days and days longer! Thank you to the Morvedra Nou team for the impeccable hospitality, and we hope to have the chance to return.

Cons: very small rooms, if you open your suitcase you can’t turn around, uncomfortable, there is no laundry service on weekends, they spoil things and don’t admit mistakes, they force you to pay for dry cleaning, even when the item is dirty after dry cleaning. St. Barth shorts ruined. costing 220 euros, they said it wasn’t them. There is no customer focus at all. The hotel is in a quiet place, you need to drive from the city along a dark, winding, narrow road, there is nothing around, no shops, restaurants, etc., you are a hostage of the hotel, you have to eat their tasteless, very expensive food. But these are not all the hotel's shortcomings. First of all: if you come to this hotel, don’t expect 5 stars, there aren’t even dental kits in the room, not to mention sewing, shaving and hygiene kits! There is no shower at the pool, no service at the pool, we had to look for waiters, they were nowhere to be found after 17:00. Again, the rooms are uncomfortable, the mirror and sink are the size of a plate, when you wash your face the water is all on the floor! When you take this micro shower, the water is also on the floor in the room. There is no shampoo in the shower, only body gel! The handle to the room is inconvenient, I cut my finger on the key when I opened the door. Be careful, take out the key! We were very dissatisfied and will never come back here again!

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Generous upgrade on the room meant it was truly memorable. Spotlessly clean and with lovely staff. Pool and garden are gorgeous. Food is really good. Breakfast generous. Being able to hire bikes and free water (we’re now somewhere it’s not free!!!) are little acts of generosity.

So nice Hotel located in the middle of nowhere. All is nice, staff is so dedicated, Hotel is close to the most wonderful beaches. It's so quiet. Breakfast are crazy ! But...A/C was not working during our stay and food at the restaurant was not in line with the price. It was good but should be more (plates were quite empty). the sunset bar at night is a must have !

We have just returned from 12 nights at this wonderful and very relaxing hotel, we agree there are a few minor finishing touches that are being completed but our overall experience was absolutely 1st class the staff were all very very friendly and helpful and from start to finish nothing was too much trouble our superior room was lovely and spacious with great air conditioning and a beautiful garden with a plunge pool ( very peaceful ) The sunset viewing area is a great place to have a cocktail and see an amazing sunset. The breakfast was excellent and we had dinner at the restaurant on 5 occasions and every meal was exceptional, there are some amazing beaches within 10 mins from the hotel ….. would we come back absolutely we had a lovely relaxing time in a beautiful boutique quiet hotel.

Beautiful (unfinished) hotel with disturbing renovations and poor customer service Beware room photos on website look nothing like the rooms in reality Stayed 3 nights at this hotel, we booked a superior suite and especially made note that it was for our wedding anniversary, Not a great start to our trip upon arrival we were shown to a smaller room with the wrong luggage, upon raising this staff said they would enquire as to what had gone wrong, I had a massage booked and when I asked where the spa was I was informed there was none and that I could have it in my room, when I pointed out this seemed silly as we currently did not have a room, they told me we could have the massage in that room whilst they sorted out the situation, no one returned to explain or apologise for the inconvenience. I raised it again at reception 3hrs after no one had addressed the issue, the manager then sheepishly told me they had had a problem with the online booking system the room I booked was not available and we would have to remain in the room and that they would refund the difference in room price and offer us dinner in the restaurant - this was not honoured they gave us a 58€ discount after I reached out twice post check out upon return home, when I mentioned I was extremely disappointed as it was our wedding anniversary they said they would organise something for our anniversary - nothing ever appeared I would like to say that this was my only experience of terrible customer service but it wasn’t, Whilst the staff are polite and well meaning the attention to detail and customer care is lacking a lot for this price bracket of hotel. No one met us upon arrival in the car park or offered to collect our bags No one once enquired as to whether I wanted anything to drink or eat whilst seated in the pool or garden lounge area, and even ordering ourself directly at the bar or even seated at the restaurant service was very slow, My friends requested to visit the sunset bar in the evening at breakfast, but at 7:30pm the time they had been told to do it, no one had any recollection of them having booked it, and it was not ready, In general what I was most disappointed with was the lack of care or accountability for mistakes or lack of care, We were constantly disturbed by ongoing works on the unfinished rooms gate posts and door/ light fixtures were being noisily put in place and added, this disturbed the tranquil environment also the perpetual smell of drains was off putting, and despite all the crashing around of works people there were no locks on the public toilets in the main lobby, and this was not corrected in the 3 days I was there… in terms of facilities also felt lacking considering the price tag, small pool area/no spa/Restaurant is fairly average although the steak was delicious and beautifully cooked Despite this Excellent points included Breakfast is very good The massage therapist is exceptional Room aircon/ fan is good- although rooms are very hum

Just spent the most wonderful 5 days at Rural Morvedra Nou. It was exactly what we needed. When we booked the hotel we had no idea it was going through renovations. After booking, we started following their social media account, which is how we found out. To our frustration we had booked a non refundable rate. We had no other choice but to stay there which now, I’m glad of. Yes, the hotel has only just opened and there were some minor teething issues however, for a hotel that had only just opened a week prior to our stay I think they are doing a pretty good job to say the least. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, luscious and green. I can only imagine how this will develop once the gardens have fully grown. They have small plots for growing vegetables and fruits. It’s very cute. The decor of the hotel has been done to a very high standard. We stayed in deluxe room with private garden. It was very spacious. Lovely powerful shower, air-con worked a dream. The staff could not do enough for you. So pleasant and polite. We stayed over a public bank holiday in Menorca so that weekend it was a bit of a nightmare getting taxis. The hotel were kind enough to take us to our dinner reservation one night when we were unable to get a taxi. The location of the hotel is also great. As the name states, yes it is quite rural but also a short drive to some great beaches and amazing restaurants. Other than the bank holiday weekend, getting a taxi wasn’t an issue at all so you’re not trapped there. You can go out and explore the local towns/beaches etc if you don’t have a car. The swimming pool is something I think needs some TLC. The pool area itself is lovely and relaxing. Sun loungers are very comfortable but the pool itself isn’t as clean as it should be. They could definitely invest more time and energy into cleaning it and scooping out the bugs. The hotel offers private yoga and massages. We had both. The yoga session we had around the pool in the morning. It was so calming, the best start to the day. The massage was also great however, if you do book one, have it in your hotel room as opposed to us who had it outside. The massage oils attracted lots of flies! Our mistake. The restaurant is good and the setting is beautiful however, the portion sizes are very small! We had dinner there on the first night and left feeling pretty hungry. I think the menu needs more variation to it too. The lunch menu and the evening menu are exactly the same so if you had no plans to leave the hotel you would become bored of the food very quickly. The hotel’s renovations are not yet complete but the only unfinished part is the car park and an area above the reception. You really won’t regret staying at Morvedra. Once all reno is complete I imagine it to be one of the most beautiful boutique style hotels on the island.
