My visit to Villa Elisa could not have been better! The artistic decor of the hotel and the fairytale-like garden filled with hummingbirds made for a very unique and charming stay. I recommend trying out the jacuzzi which overlooks the garden. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from the historical center of Arequipa where you'll find restaurants, bars, shops and more. Thanks to the friendly staff and owners for making my first visit to Peru so memorable. I look forward to visiting again!

I'm a guide and I visit Arequipa at least once a year. This year the tour was complicated because of the health issues experienced by the members of my group. The host, Jean Louis, was so helpful and kind!!! Incredible. The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet neighbourhood, just 15 minutes away from the main square. It is very clean, it has a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. It is the place to stay. We will be back!

This hidden gem is well worth a visit! Located within easy walking distance of Plaza de Armas and it's many attractions, it's the perfect place to stage for your visit to Arequipa. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are ultra comfy, and the shower is gorgeous with plenty of hot water after a long day of adventures. The pool and garden area are the perfect place to relax with a nice beverage and watch the myriad native birds, including many hummingbirds, flutter about. There are an endless array of great restaurants around the square, but don't discount the hotel's restaurant! The food is top-notch with an impressive variety of local and regional fare, plus great drinks. Pisco sour anyone? I was honestly very surprised - it was just as good as, if not better than, many of the fine dining restaurants where I ate during my visit to Peru.

I loved the location and vibe of this place. They let me check in early and I got good sleep and had a nice clean room. This place was within walking distance of the city, yet also a bit separated, therefore it was a bit quieter and less congested, which I really appreciated. You do have to cross one busy road to get to the city, but if you are an experienced traveler, it will not faze you. The neighborhood around the hotel was great. I am a runner and it ended up being a great place to train.

Very friendly owner; lovely rooms with a garden view. Modern, clean bathrooms. Breakfast good. Hotel is picturesque and quiet - perfect for a restful stay. To the plaza it is about a 10 minute walk only. There are a lot of great places to eat within walking distance.

A really nice little place with a great little back garden and pool. In a good location 5mins walk from the main tourist area. Really nice owners who help with anything needed and very friendly staff. A great place to spend a few days as you see the area. Rooms are a good size and clean. Everything there you need.

We stayed here twice, what a find; a lovely hotel with large bedrooms, fabulous garden and a small restaurant very close to the busy centre but conveniently located in a quiet area. The staff are wonderful, they went out of their way for us. The food at both breakfast and dinner was very good. It is very quick to walk into the centre of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff and owner Jean Louis were very engaging, thoughtful and accommodating. The garden grounds were serene with humming and other birds flitting about. We took advantage of the hot jacuzzi tub that overlooked the grounds. Perfect after a full day at Colca Canyon. Walking distance to plaza de Armas and all the highlights! The on-site chef did not disappoint, we enjoyed everything experienced, especially the chicken courses. We will absolutely come back and highly recommend this peaceful boutique hotel at the edge of everything Arequipa. Angie and Craig
