Premier Inn Ashington

I have given it a 3 out of 5 because the staff were friendly, the room was clean and it had a nice lake opposite for a quick wander or fish (if you have a fishing rod at hand). The big thing that let me down was I intended on getting some work done, checking and replying to some emails. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. There was no 4G connection in the building so i tried to connect my laptop to the free-wifi. This was so slow, so i made the decision to purchase the 'Ultimate Wi-Fi'. This was a speed of 0.38mb per second meaning i could not even open emails. Ultimately, i will not be staying here again and would suggest others to avoid if this would cause them any issues.

Great value for money stay. Good to have somewhere to eat. Room was comfortable. Nice spot overlooking the lake

We were given a lovely ground floor room over looking the lake. Usual Premier inn cleanliness and room was all made up for us when we arrived. Even had a chocolate bar for all of us from the maid! Liked that you could walk around the lake and that the restaurant was joined to the hotel. Shame the little outdoor park was closed at the pub. Also liked the charity things you could buy at reception. Only negative was a slight drain smell from the toilet and no internet connection even when paying extra for it. No 4g either. Will def stay again instead of our usual.

This hotel was exactly as you would expect a Premier Inn. Nice staff, really good location and reasonable value for money

Have stayed in premier inns before and found OK. With windows bolted shut and air conditioning not working well room stifling. Prepaid for breakfast. But often all food gone and made to wait for more to come out. Very poor quality. Not worth it.

Some kind of staffing issue, most of them got on with it heroically, unfortunately the barman, who was never busy managed to make a drama out of everything to the extent that I thought I might be in a hidden camera type TV show. A case of one bad apple not spoiling the barrel as the hotel and everything about it ( including the food) was better than we expected and we had a great 2 days.

Good place to stay for sight seeing but need to sort out the short length power cuts they have. Surroundings are very pleasant, staff were very good. Town of Morpeth is just a 15 minute drive away which is a must visit for eating out. Plenty of parking space and easy access to the restaurant.

Usual Premier Inn efficiency and very comfortable and practical room. At lunch at the restaurant and disappointed that the special 2 for 10.00 meals were not available. Can't see why this should be the case on a Bank Holiday Monday other than profiteering at the expense of families.

Good location and acces, good quality-price, easy parking, quite and beautiful surroundings. All was clean and nice staff. I would repeat without hesitation. No elevator and poor wifi on room 150 but it wasn't a problem for us.
