We stayed at the Boccard Point Cabin, located in a quiet, secluded spot amongst the conifers with a view of a creek valley. The cabin was clean, comfortable and attractively furnished, though it was hard to cram our food for 3 days into the mini-fridge. Basic cooking equipment was provided though a few more utensils and implements would be helpful. The cabin made a great base for exploring Cascade-Siskyou National Monument and we enjoyed three hikes through its diverse habitats. The downsides of staying here were the steep, winding, exposed road from Ashland with no guardrails in places and the lack of a way to communicate with inn staff. The inn was not staffed in October and we could not get cell phone service so we could not call or text. We were able to e-mail using the cabin wi-fi, but they did not respond to the e-mail we sent.
