Hotel Aspen

Our room smelt horrible and we weren't sure why. I went to go take a shower and liquid came up from the shower drain and smelt horrible. Turns out, the liquid coming up from the shower drain was sewage. Yep, POOP! This was confirmed by the maintenance guy and front desk guy. The sewage also came up through the drain in the wet bar sink. Absolutely disgusting. I've never experienced anything like this. They also wouldn’t give us a full refund because we didn’t know the smell was poop and sewage until the third day! :D

Place was dirty, had a terrible musty odor that did not improve. Carpet was dirty, a/c would not go below 60, toilet broke and had black mold all under the lid, housekeeping entered my room despite the “do not disturb sign” and then took all of my towels without replacing them. Bathroom is just plain disgusting and the pool area is nothing like the photos. Even when I tried to keep the windows open at night to air the place out, there were loud residents and guests outside making any relaxation impossible. Overall a complete disappoin**ent and will never stay here again. Can’t believe a place like this exists in Aspen! Trust the reviews and do not waste your money.

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. This is no where near worth 800.00 a night. I checked in and left within 15 minutes. Where to begin. 1. There is no lobby you walk in and you have the front desk and some spiral staircase and very outdated. 2. This place has no elevators. Yes, no elevators. And to access your rooms you have to go outside the where the front desk is. I had to walk outside and around the corner and then carry my bag up to the third floor. The stairs and the entire wood structure beyond dated and this hotel should not be charging these fees. 3. I get to the room and I am like I really cannot do this. The closet is beyond dated. Dark brown old wooded sliding doors, the carpet is date and just old and the room was clean but beyond dated. I could not bring myself to stay here for even one out of my five nights. This is so in no way a 3 or 4 star hotel. Listen to the reviews. Everything is beyond dated and old. There is also no hotel a**osphere, saying it was a motel 8 would be a compliment. I could not stay and called another hotel and waited on hold j til they found away to book me two reservations. I have to move my room after night one but I am happy to do so there is no possible way I could stay at Hotel Aspen. My event had it on the list and should not have. Never again and what a shame to had to spend 4K on this level of room. I will continue to write reviews on other sites about this hotel because no one should spend money on staying here. Also I should be refunded for spending 10min in this place and being billed for 5 nights.

DO NOT STAY HERE... again DO NOT STAY HERE! I don't know how this hotel has a rating higher than a 1 Star. I got completely hoodwinked by their website for $700 per night, which is a complete f****. Hotel Aspen is still in the 1970s with vintage old-school amenities! I do want to hire their website marketing team that made a homeless shelter look this amazing "Lipstick on a pig".

stayed for business. The location is great,but we are talking about a small city, so everything is close. I got a room facing the pool. This has a small indoor room looking into the pool. (sort of hard to explain) Which the hot tub was heated... it was not

My first impression was not good . We got a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony that was probably the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel reminds me of an old apar**ent building transformed into a hotel. This place is not handicapped accessible and they do not have handicapped parking. and parking in general is very limited . Way overpriced for this hotel not worth it. I wouldn't suggest staying here at all.

I am writing this as i’m still trying to get some sleep. People occupying the room above me have been walking around non stop. I tried calling for the reception but their phone is not working. Looks 4stars but i didn’t come here for looks. I came here to rest!! And somehow i can’t do that for the price i paid.

Scruffy, old fashioned, no cleaner daily, beds not changed. Supply a microwave and asked for plates and cutlery and was told they don't do plates or cutlery. Supplied 2 paper cups!!! This ended up costing us £1,400 a night as our fight got a cancelled so ended up only 2 nights and yet they wouldn't even give us an extra hour on the day we were departing.

My Husband and I included this hotel in the list of options for guests to stay at for our wedding in Aspen. What a mistake to include this hotel. Every guest that stayed here had a horrible experience. The rooms are DIRTY AND OLD, the bathrooms are TINY and for some reason radiant heat was pumping in the middle of the Summer, the AC units were broke and some rooms had up to 3 box fans blowing to circulate air. The pool heater was broke. No food available on property, ice machines were broke, zero customer service. For the high price, this place is embarrassing. DON'T STAY HERE.
