Check-in was easy and initially staff. We were able to leave our luggage there before checking in since we got there early and explore and walk around. Our luggage was brought to the room which was fairly clean. The room was a bit stuffy, but once the air was turned on it was fine. Sliding glass door leading out to the balcony does not lock. I called down to the front desk area to asked about which room we got since it did not look like the description from what I booked through *******. I got the newly remodeled Superior room which was supposed to have a fireplace and a bit bigger, but ended up with a Deluxe (there is a size and pricing difference). The older lady who initially checked us in answered when I called to inquire about it and she told me that it was the Deluxe room. I informed her that I booked the Superior which she got defensive and said that I only booked for 2 and had 3 people. The room stated it can sleep 3 with free rollaway bed and did not give me the option to add a 3rd person on the site. She then continued to reprimand me stating that she had the right to cancel my room because I only said 2 people when I booked the room and continue to say that ******* says that Deluxe and Superior room were the same. Which is not true since ******* gave me the option to pick different rooms at different prices (Superior and Deluxe being different in the choices given). Not happy with the way I was spoken to, but stay was decent and other staff were nice.

The hotel was great! The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The beds were uncomfortable. I rolled around most of the night trying to fall asleep but just couldn’t get comfortable. Wife also mentioned she had the same problem on the other mattress since we had a room with two beds. The jacuzzi was warm and didn’t bubble.

Our family stayed here and loved how convenient it was to go down to the shops and get snacks and breakfast and sweaters, if needed… The only thing that was missing was a hot tub… I did not find where the hot tub was and it was kind of why I booked this room, but it was still a wonderful stay, and the staff was great… We would definitely stay there again

I like the location of the hotel as well as the shopping plaza around with coffee shop and restaurant.

The room was very roomy and clean. Theseated patio area was very sweet in the morning with coffee or tea. Our favorite part was the extra large bathtub, definitely 5 stars! Wonderful for our honeymoon and first time on Catalina Island.

This was a wonderful and romantic place to stay. This trip was the first time my girlfriend and I ever spent the night together and the lady at the front desk went over and above to make it memorable. We were there in early March, so we can't wait to go back again in the summer. Excellent location, right in the middle of town.

This is a lovely cottage-like hotel, not as luxurious as the picture looks. It would've been helpful to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The food in Avalon is very expensive and it was a shame to waste our leftovers due to the lack of storage in the room. The room also could've accommodated a small couch which would've made it more comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean. The fireplace in the room was very nice too!

Stay here for the Catalina marathon. Beautiful place I highly recommend. The staff is courteous the room is clean and they have coffee and a refrigerator.
