La Résidence du Château de Jouarres

Fantastic value - excellent apartment in beautiful, peaceful grounds with great swimming pool. Within walking distance of several good restaurants in Homps. Makes a great base for exploring this wine growing region and a peaceful place to relax.

We had a lovely stay really clean apartment with a lovely outdoor seating area, pool was a bit cold but nice sun loungers would be nice to have a few sun umbrellas, great restaurants nearby, lovely area for walking and cycling along the Canal de Midi, will be back

We booked an 8 night stay in a 2 bed apartment at the last minute as our planned stay in Brittany was hit by terrible wet weather so we made a last minute plan to find the sun! The apartments are located in a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards and a short walk from the canal. The apartment was perfect for our family of 3 and our balcony overlooked the vineyards and had the morning sun which was ideal for breakfast. There is a small but functional kitchen area, dining table, sofa, TV and 2 bedrooms. The on site pool was perfect and for those will smaller children, there is a good sized splash pool. The bar is next to the pool and offers a good breakfast and several options for lunch and dinner. Thursday was Moules night which my husband enjoyed and that was also karaoke night which was good fun. A pizza van visited one evening and was delicious. There was also a stall selling fresh fruit and another evening there was wine tasting. All of the staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. They went above and beyond to be helpful even when we asked to extend our day by one night during peak season! They managed to accommodate us which we really appreciated. The wifi was really good and there was plenty of parking available. There is a small supermarket a 2 minute drive away and 5 minutes away is a larger supermarket. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning when we can come back. I'd highly recommend a stay here

We had a wonderful week at Chateau du Jouarres. The setting was beautiful and had a sense of tranquility. We had a lovely apartment with views over vineyards . The apartment was well equipped with two big tower fans and all the crockery etc you need. The Bistro was great and we thoroughly enjoyed moules frites on our last night. The staff were very pleasant. The wine tasting was fabulous and pizza night was also very welcome.

The location is the same as many years before!Castle (château) is very dirty! The castle is closed and very dirty! The apartments are nice and the most things are there. It is not pleasant that you must ask a lot of things the are not more in the apartment. Sometimes there are seminars and the staff is preparing that on time that is not friendly for the locals! (Very noisy at 0530hr in the morning) There is no control about people that make noise, doing Bbq where it’s not allowed….A man from the staff, when you asked him something always he dining it! We are staying there 3 weeks with 2, in an apartment for 8. We think that the most people there are staying because ist very cheap fore 4 or 6 people in an apartment for 70€/night! It’s rear that nobody has written something wrong about this location.

We stayed here for an extended weekend because of a family event nearby. We had wonderful time exploring the area, visiting local restaurants, swimming in the pool, and enjoying a studio apartment with all the facilities we needed … even had a sunny morning patio which was nice and shady in the afternoon! Colette and Naomi in reception were really helpful and welcoming… best local restaurant was En Bonne Compagnie in Homps … and the rustic family restaurant in Azillanet called La Maison Vigneronne (open Thursday - Sunday evenings when we were there … €25 for full meal with wine… 2 choices per course … but great!). But back to La Résidence … great place, surrounded by vines, quiet and peaceful… and Utile supermarket 3 or 4 mins away by car.

residence très agreable bon accueil.les appartements sont grands et tres bien équipés et tres propres.literie confortable.bien situé pour visiter les caves du minervois et le petit village de homps le long du canal du midi.je conseille le restaurant le spot a redorte le top. le petit bemol il vaut mieux eviter les appartements en RDC car forte odeur d'egouts on la signaler mais ils ne peuvent rien faire.et le manque de clim mais le ventilo a fait l'affaire pour 2 nuits.

Très bon accueil , studio propre, calme , parfait pour les cyclistes du canal du midi. Nous avons bénéficié des clés dès notre arrivée.Prix modérés. Piscine ouverte , lac de Jouarrès à côté ainsi que le Super U. Par contre la prise électrique voiture ne marche pas bon à savoir
