This is the best place Iv ever stayed. This hotel is perfectly located, the spa is incredible and the staff are so lovely, a special mention to Jasmine the receptionist. I can’t wait to return to this hotel and Baden, which is the most perfect town. Thank you.

Parking is only 1000m away from the hotel ; breakfastroom altaugh 100m away from the hotel; no late out check (11:50) possible - correliert with spa treatment;

Very kind and thoughtful Reception associates! They took extra steps to ensure you were satisfied and had everything that you needed. While there are actually 3 buildings to choose from, I am Team Historic buildings, and chose to stay on the Limmat River in a newly designed Limmat Suite (in the yellow building, next door to the original pink building.) Good amenities and working A/C. This was a short stopover. I would have liked to have spent an additional day to explore the town and use the spa facilities. A summery evening, with people walking on the promenade on both sides of the river. Pepe Nero's Ristorante, offers a wonderful variety of homemade pastas and fresh salads on an outdoor terrace. I would like to inform people when booking online for this hotel and Spar that you may not end up in the historical beautiful old hotel we thought we were booked into when booking online! We were directed to a modern hotel away from Spar which sadly was not up to standard. And certainly not a Boutique Spar! We felt misrepresented and very upset as we had travelled three and half hours to get there from home! My sister was visiting from SAfrica and I wanted to surprise and spoil her with a Spar get away! The Reception staff were welcoming and had helped us with directions as even our GPS coordinates were taking us around the block several times. Speaking to the Receptionist, she informed us that we were in fact not staying in the Historical building but their other sister hotel and this was why we could not recognize the hotel! We were looking for the Historical building that we had viewed on the website and booked! Interesting to note that several other guests experienced the exactly same issue! However based on our feeling of misrepresentation and the sub standard hotel, we were not willing to stay there, so we left! We were informed that we would not receive a refund of nearly 1500 francs for our three day stay! This hotel was far from up to standard! Floors dirty, scratches snd scuff marks all over the floor, hardly any furniture, just generally a very shabby appearance! The room had two camp beds ( it looked like) pushed together, with thin mattresses!! The curtain was too short and looked shrunken! I can honestly say it was not a place that I would choose in the first place and my booking was based on the other views of a beautiful looking old character hotel! We loved the look of the Spar inside the buildings, with lovely photos showing a really welcoming pleasant look and experience! There was also not hotel parking! One would need to walk a distance to get to the Spar which for us was the main purpose of our visit!! I feel it only right to inform others when booking on the online site that you may very well experience same problem as us! All in all a very disappointing experience!! We ended up driving another three and half hours home !!

Das Personal im Hotel & Spa hat uns sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen. Die Suite war der reinste Hammer! Auch war die Suite sehr sauber. Mit 2 Privaten Eingängen waren wir sehr positiv überrascht. Vom Parkplatz läuft man noch ca. 800 m, aber es ist ein schöner Weg bis dahin, alles am Fluss entlang. Es gibt leider nur 4 Sterne, wegen dem Frühstück. Die Auswahl war sehr minim, die Gipfeli waren leider zu Fettig und der Kaffee war schlechter als den man sich selber in der Suite machen konnte. Das Personal im Restaurant/ Frühstückbereich hat mit nur sehr wenig Motivation gearbeitet, das haben wir demensprechend auch gemerkt. Das Restaurant werden wir nicht mehr besuchen. Sonst war alles sehr, sehr schön. Wir durften uns sogar noch weitere Suiten anschauen mit eigenem Whirlpool, Sauna oder Dampfbad mit eigenem Wasserbett was man für ein paar Stunden reservieren könnte. Da lässt es sich bestimmt gut Abschalten und Erholen von dem ganzen Alltagsstress. Das werden wir bestimmt mal ausprobieren.

Im Neubau des Limmathofs, das mehrheitlich aus Apartment (Verkauften) Besteht sieht man gleich bei der Reception. Es besteht kein Konzept für ein sog. 4 Sterne Hotel. Viele Abläufe stimmen nicht und sind auch nicht Kundenfreundlich. Wir hatten die Suite Deluxe, es fehlte an Vielem. Die sog. Suite war relativ großzügig, aber leider nicht professionell eingerichtet, es wurde wohl gespart, mit einem Innenarchitekten hätte man nicht elementare Fehler gemacht. Alle Details wollen wir hier gar nicht aufzählen, vielleicht zwei Sachen doch: zwei Nachttischlampen sollten vorhanden sein, es war nur eine vorhanden und die war aber defekt, Ersatz konnte man nicht organisieren. Die wunderschöne Badewanne in der Zimmermitte ist lose im Raum und leicht zum Umkippen ( wir hatten sie leicht verschoben, da sie nicht fixiert war ( von der Direktion wurden wir ermahnt die Badewanne möglicherweise havariert zu haben). Die Leitung des Hotels ist überfordert und weiß nicht wie mit Reklamationen umzugehen und belastet die Kreditkarte der Gäste ohne ihr Wissen. Gerne können wir dem Verwaltungsrat noch weiter Informationen liefern, wenn es von Interesse ist. Es grüßen sie George Sardi und Daniela Balmer

Liebes Limmathof Team, ich möchte mich herzlich für meinen Aufenthalt bei Ihnen bedanken. Der Limmathof Baden hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen! Das Team versteht es wirklich, auf die Kundenwünsche einzugehen und sorgt für eine unvergessliche Erfahrung. Die Einrichtung ist charmant, das Ambiente entspannend und die Servicequalität herausragend. Ich freue mich schon darauf, wiederzukommen!

Au bord de la Limmat, loin du brouhaha de la ville, dans ce quartier de seniors, le 2ème bâtiment du Limmathof, dans sa variante “Private SPA” contemporain, propose de belles suites design, très spacieuses et aménagées avec des matériaux de grande qualité. Literie confortable (oreillers un peu trop mous), café (nespresso) et eau minérale offerts. Le tout très propre et calme la nuit (moins d'animation aux alentours de mi-juillet avec les restaurants les plus proches fermés). Personnel aimable et attentif. Petit-déjeuner de type continental varié, offrant de bons produits. Sur demande, oeufs “3-4 minutes”. Pas de parking sur site mais après le dépose-bagages, la sortie/entrée pédestre du parking Zentrum n’est qu’à 3 min à pieds de l’hôtel, le tout quasi à plat. Les bémols qui ne nous ont juste pas permis de donner la note maximale : un air conditionné mobile largement sous-dimensionné pour le volume de cette grande suite et le chantier de construction de la nouvelle résidence senior voisine qui réveille en semaine dès 7h00 (un peu plus tard avec fenêtres fermées - bonne isolation phonique). Heureusement, dès 17h00, le calme revient. L’essentiel est proche : quelques minutes pour atteindre les premiers restaurants (si, si il en reste d’ouverts en juillet), les thermes forty-seven ou l’arrêt de bus… la carte “city ticket destination Baden” permet de voyager gratuitement en bus (fréquents) et offre différents avantages et réductions. Bien aimé - entre autres - la promenade rafraîchissante le long de la Limmat et l’ascenseur (Promenadenlift) à la hauteur du restaurant Schwyzerhüsli ainsi que la découverte du Baldegg “Top of Baden”. Nous y reviendrons bien volontiers.
