Jay covered bridge and swim holes are within walking distance.OUR HOME: Our renovated grandfather's home is located on 18 acres on a peaceful back road in Jay, NY. Relax on the deck overlooking the 180 degree views of the Adirondack High Peaks. Walk our trails in the woods behind our house or play in the yard (i.e., baseball and frisbee or sledding down the hill in the winter). Roast marshmallows over the fire in our fire pit in the woods (strict fire safety rules apply & no fires in drought seasons). Only 10 minutes to Wilmington for more swimming at the public beach (town beach at Lake Everest), Whiteface Memorial Highway, Santa's Workshop, and world-class skiing at Whiteface - featuring the largest vertical drop in the Northeast. Cross-country ski centers (Cascade/ADK and Mount Van Hoevenberg Complex) are a 20 minute drive away, and on our own property.
