Ubud Bungalow

What a wonderful find in the heart of Ubud. We loved our stay and the spacious room we had. Bathroom was nice with a big bath and the basin was in the main part of the room which I like. Nice verandah to sit outside. The breakfasts were good, choice of a small menu and served to you in the on site restaurant. There is a lovely pool which gets shade in the afternoon and we enjoyed a couple of swims there. It is nice for a change to just be able to walk out of the hotel where cafe's, restaurants and shopping abounds. I would definitely stay here again.

God this place is such a good deal… everything is super clean and the service is fantastic. If you have the opportunity to get a room here, definitely do it. However unfortunately there’s no AC but the fan is good enough at night. Also, monkeys in the backyard in the morning. Great location, right on one of the main roads. You also get a nice free breakfast. WiFi is decent enough

We returned from Ubud Bungalows after staying six nights. Wayan is the owner and goes out of his way to make sure guests are happy, comfortable and enjoy their holiday. Although we often try new places this family run establishment has become a favourite. There are both new and traditional rooms available which are all.spotlessly clean, serviced every day and have all basic amenities. We stayed this time in the newer buildings where there is plenty of room including large amounts of storage space. Air con and lovely bathrooms are part of the package. The welcoming knowledgeable staff here are genuinely friendly and always available to help or answer any uestions. Breakfast is also available and is in a lovely setting, the banana pancakes and homemade jams are divine. The location is in the middle of a popular vibrant shopping and restaurant area so all just steps away but once entering the establishment the a**osphere changes and is totally relaxed. The shopping is of good quality and not just the usual tourist stuff found by the coast. Massage and wellbeing are a mainstay of Ubud but the Yoga Barn is worth checking out for further interesting and varied options and within a short walk from Ubud Bungalows. We asked Wayan for transport for our airport pick up and also transfer to our next destination which was reliable and efficient and would not hesitate to recommend this additional service. When we left we had a message to say that we had left some personal items behind. Wayan was so kind to arrange for his daughter to bring these to us which was quite a journey for her but was so appreciated by us. It is this experience which makes Wayan and Ubud Bungalows stand alone from many establishments. We plan to return again so are already looking forward to staying at Ubud Bungalows once again and would truly recommend it to anyone wanting a genuine welcome in a lovely destination.

This place is amazing! The warm staff, peaceful ambience, good food, and prompt service made us feel right at home despite being in another country. The hotel has just the right touch of traditional architecture and decor, to make it unique to Balinese culture, while still having most facilities required for a comfortable stay. Moreover, this is located at just the right place in Ubud so we could explore almost everything walking.

We stayed at this property from 08 to 13 Nov 2023. A graceful Ganesha idol adorns the entrance of the property and the inside abounds with greenery and flowering plants. It is located within easy walking distance of The Sacred Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, the Saraswati Temple and the Campuhan Ridge Trail. What made our stay here really enjoyable was the attitude of the property manager Mr Wayan and his esteemed lady wife who treated us more like family rather than like guests. He is a rich source of information on Balinese Hindu traditions and even drove us to and guided us around some of the temples. Thanks to him, we imbibed and understood so much about the rich local culture. He and his wife are people who just enjoy making others happy. When my wife casually mentioned to him that she would really like to taste some Balinese delicacies like Lampongan and Laklak, Mrs Wayan got these for us when she visited the market. The property has their own cars which guests can hire for visits to different places.

A peaceful haven in the heart of Ubud! The location in central Ubud on Monkey Forest Road allows you to walk out the gates and easily stroll to fabulous restaurants, shops, the Monkey Forest sanctuary, markets Agung Rai Museum of Art, Ubud Palace and so much more! Once inside the gates, the gardens are tranquil, pretty and beautifully maintained. I love the pool. The covered terrace where breakfast is served has a delightful outlook, with a variety of breakfast options included in the tariff. I would personally rate Ubud Bungalow’s owner and staff as 5 star - due to their kind welcoming presence and genuine willingness to assist. If you want to be picked up from the airport on arrival, they’ll send someone from their team to meet you for a reasonable cost. I have stayed at Ubud Bungalows each time I’ve been in Bali during the past 30 years. It’s expanded since my first visit and added some deluxe suites in addition to those with traditional Balinese architecture. I’ve stayed in many of their rooms and enjoyed them all for their different qualities.

Simply an amazing accommodation venue in the heart of Ubud. The word immaculate comes to mind with two types of accommodation available to guests. The gardens surrounding the rooms are just as amazing. The tariff also includes an excellent breakfast. If considering hotel style rooms with ensuite Ubud Bungalows are your answer and the price well its certainly value value value plus. Large clean room on the ground floor. Very quiet considering how close it is to Monkey Forest Rd traffic. Beautiful, lush setting. Enormous pool. Well maintained gardens. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I stayed for four nights. I would fefinitely go back. Great value.

 We are experienced travellers and our booking for five nights at Ubud Bungalows was a return visit. I booked direct with Wayan, the owner of Ubud Bungalows, communication for arrangements was great and room, rates (very reasonable) and transfers were arranged easily. We stayed this time in the newer ssss type accommodation. On a previous visit we stayed very happily in one of the original traditional Balinese bungalows, which have been recently renovated. Accommodation. Spotlessly clean, which is important to us, and is serviced daily, spacious, good storage, light and airy and included air conditioning, fridge with drinking water. Also safety deposit box and outdoor seating area. Setting. Perfect spot right in the middle of Monkey Forest Road so easy to walk to everything including The Yoga Barn. Lots of quality shopping opportunities and massage etc in very close proximity. Supermarket with cash machine and shops for drinks and snacks, handy to sit outside the bungalow and enjoy. There are many reasonably priced restaurants very close also. Although in the main street once you cross the gate into the accommodation everything is oddly so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast. A basic breakfast is included in the room rate and the setting for this is amazing, looking out over the natural flora and fauna valley area. Staff. Everyone is so helpful and will sort out any questions or help with tour advice etc. Well worth a good tip. Wayan collected us from the airport (normal car) and then took us on at the end of our stay to our other accommodation in Bali. He was wonderful, efficient, waiting patiently while we went though the airport. The transfer down south was fun as this was in Wayan’s immaculate Volkswagen camper van and added to our holiday experience. Overall, Ubud Bungalows are comfortable, secure, clean and convenient offering a wonderful home while in Ubud and we will definitely be returning.
