good and quiet hotel, little overrated, claims to be 4 stars but does not even have kettle or coffee maker in the room, no restaurant service either....all the rest worked well

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. We arrived in Bamberg on Sunday morning (well before check-in) and were able to store our luggage and we were also given a map of Old Town and a list of cafes that we could visit while we waited for our check-in time. The room was lovely and spacious, and the air conditioning was a nice surprise (and very welcome with the unusually warm weather. The breakfast was also great with lots of choices and a large, comfortable eating area (you could even eat outside in their garden area). And again I cannot say enough about the hotel staff - very pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel and if we are ever back in the area it will be my first choice.

Great location! We could easily walk to the Old Town to sightsee. Rooms are spacious. Staff is very friendly.

The Messerschmitt is a really nice hotel on a busy street in Bamberg, Germany. They don't have a parking garage so I unloaded the car on the street in front of the hotel and took the elevator up to the nice large air conditioned room. Then I drove the car to an underground garage about 4 blocks away. Luckily I was able to walk back to the hotel without getting lost. We had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and a good breakfast for 16 Euros each the next morning.

Amazing hotel in the perfect location to see Bamberg. Close to everything. Room was large and comfortable. AC was amazing and not all hotels have this. However summers are getting warmer and you want this to sleep well at night. Staff was super friendly and we recommend the amazing breakfast buffet.

Our family were guests of the hotel during the Christmas holidays. The hotel is conveniently located in the very center, while we requested a room with a window to the courtyard and it was quite quiet. The room is comfortable and authentic. There were no tea/coffee making facilities, had to ask for a kettle at reception. Very tasty and varied breakfast and friendly staff.
