Red Lion Hotel by Greene King Inns

Stayed for one night and myself and family member found everything to be great (just the beds were too hard). We had a very warm welcome from Daniel, our suitcases were taken upstairs for us by one of the staff. The room was lovely, very clean and it was nice and quiet. The stairs are not really suitable for people who may have a greater degree of mobility issues, but its a very old building. We had our evening meal and the food was lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The building is in a lovely village, locals were very friendly. We went for a walk around Adderbury Lakes which is to the left as you walk out of the front. Daniel kindly gave us directions. The breakfast choice was very good and staff brought our suitcases down for us. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at the Red Lion. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic stay at The Red Lion. Rooms are well decorated and have everything you need. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The manager and staff were so welcoming and helpful and the pub has a lovely and friendly atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!

Second stay here and as before we couldn’t fault it. Fantastic staff and lovely food,room was great and comfortable. We love the area and Adderbury lakes were well worth a visit. We will definitely be back . Thank you once again for another wonderful visit.

We loved this place. Great staff, good rooms, great locals and a lovely atmosphere. Parking was easy and the breakfast excellent, we also loved the Sunday roast. A very good place to stay in this area, we will definitely be returning. Many thanks.

Wonderful bar food with friendly staff. Quiet bedroom with its own heater but otherwise not too hot everywhere which so often happens in hotels.

Easy to find and has plenty of parking spaces. Room was small but perfect for one person. The bar was nice and had a great roaring fire which was great in the evenings where you can enjoy a nice meal.

Stayed in room 10 it was dirty and full of dust and cobwebs , missing carpet on some stairs to our room which were already hard to maneuver around ,the shower hose was damaged the mugs for coffee etc full of dust , we managed to write our initials on the phone dust, definitely would not recommend staying which is a shame because the food and location were amazing.

This hotel is managed to high standards regarding, to start with, cleanliness of rooms first class, the bathroom/ toilet are kept to expected hygiene standards, rooms are checked every day, and the beds are some of the best I’ve ever slept on 👍 as regards your restaurant requirements, this is also to high standards, menu choices, dietary needs, quality and presentation, plus pleasant friendly service, I cannot believe you would ever be disappointed, I for one have never been so !! Needless to say, I will return 👍
