Quite a basic and functional room. Opens to outdoor area. Has indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness room/gym. Amazingly powerful shower and clean high spec hotel common areas. A solid 3 star hotel with free parking as a bonus for this area.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and good sized bedrooms, good facilities, good breakfast and dining in menu, located close to Barnstaple town and local beaches. Lots to do in surrounding area's. Regularly stay at this hotel.

From the time we arrived we were made to feel welcome and all staff were friendly and helpful. We had a party of 22 people staying over two days, the meals were fabulous and a great variety at breakfast. We was fortunate enough to have a Suite for our dining on the Saturday evening as we had some presentations and a quiz night planned and this was no trouble with silver service thrown in . The hotel doesn’t look swanky from the outside but the inside is very nice, tastefully decorated and very clean, and the ratio of staff to guests is high ! Would definitely recommend and would book again

We stayed for two nights so that we could cycle the Tarka Trail, which is moments away. The hotel has a really lovely vibe. It's clear staff are aiming to exceed expectations. There is a high standard of cleanliness everywhere, the facilities are excellent and the restaurant serves lovely food. Both pools are perfect - really warm and the games room is an added bonus. Thank you for a comfortable and friendly stay! We'll definitely come again.

Tucked away on an industrial estate just outside Barnstaple, my expectations weren't particularly high but I can honestly say I was blown away by the comfort, cleanliness, and service at this lovely hotel. Everyone I encountered was professional, friendly, and helpful. My room was extremely comfortable, looked fabulous, and I had a great night's sleep. There is a great indoor pool that I took advantage of and had a very relaxing swim after a tough day's walking. Breakfast provided a tasty and extensive choice and again, was staffed by very professional and efficient staff. If I am down Barnstaple way again, this hotel will be my number 1 choice. Fantastic experience!

I really enjoyed our stay.it was perfect for where we wanted to go.. every one was really helpful and gave us good local information. The hotel was well situated for our needs. We were given very good information and where to go for food and entertainment

The Barnstaple was an excellent location for our Retreat and the service we received was exceptional from all members of staff, they were all very friendly but still remained professional. The Hotel was very clean and the food was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

Very nice hotel and location excellent. Hotel room very clean and welcoming but the only 2 things is no lift to upper floor and rooms could do with a shower and not a bath as not for the older generation. Otherwise great place to stay. Food and restaurant w As very good and nice selection of food . Bar staff were very slow getting drinks but Otherwise good place to stop.
