Staff was friendly; I was sick when I checked in and they assisted with a med-check & pharmacy. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Great location!!

This was an amazing place. They gave us a small attic room with 2 beds. My son greatly appreciated his own space. The room was immaculately clean. The hotel has a convenient seating area in the lobby with cell phone charging stations and free coffee, croissants and apples in the morning. We greatly appreciated the charging station as we did not have compatible Swiss plugs. We were a solid 20 mins walk from the old center but it was a lovely and easy walk. Great neighborhood and hotel grounds. We parked in their own underground parking garage. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Beautiful older building that has been wonderfully renovated without losing its charm.

This was a beautiful old building. The check in was easy, the gentleman at reception was very nice. The hotel was very clean and the room was nice. The main disappointment was no air conditioning or a fridge. The breakfast was in the next building close to where you got off the elevator. It is all downhill to the city centre (up on the way home). You get free wifi in hotel and at hotspots throughout Basil.

Nice building and staff.
No air-condition and no fridge in the room, no posibility for ice cubes or cold bottles of water -so is was an unpleasantly hot stay.
The breakfast buffet was only cold dishes and not any big changes from day to day.

The rooms has no aircon, no fridge and the breakfast buffet is limited and only cold food. We where there for a meeting and all the drinks and water where room temperature (30c) and it was impossible to get any cold to drink. Placement is okay, but next time I’m booking something more central. On the plus side the hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

A very simple, clean, and pleasant hotel. The rooms are very simple and basic, but quite decently comfortable. (Beware of a tub-only bathroom: murder to climb in and out of. Ask to switch if you're concerned.) The staff are extraordinarily pleasant and helpful, the grounds and setting are beautiful, the free trams swoop you around the city in minutes, and this may be the single quietest hotel anywhere in the universe. If you don't take breakfast, you can still pick up a free croissant in the lobby (wonderful little buttery explosions), but buffet breakfast is served within-rate if you take that. It's mainly in business as a hotel for small conferences, which is how we got there, and very convenient for that. If your conference serves lunch, you are in luck: THE FOOD IS AMAZING. We had three days and none of the Euro-American attendees could stop praising the food. -- So if you're used to the high life in big hotels, this will take some getting used to, but it's worth it.
