Absolutely beautiful hotel right in the centre of Bath , but so quiet. The room was spacious , spotless and beautifully decorated. Comfy bed and pillows . The bathroom was superb ( white company toiletries a bonus! ) , with twin sinks and a sensor night light . Excellent branded drinks with a pod coffee machine . The staff were friendly , helpful and obviously very proud of their hotel . There is an honesty bar in the cellar with beautiful features of the original building ( old staircase to the abbey) We didn’t have breakfast but what we saw looked great . Would absolutely return

We had a most lovely stay at Eight when we were in Bath for the weekend. I wanted to mention that when we had a slight issue with our room, the staff could not have been more accommodating. Henriett & The Team at Eight went above and beyond to make our stay even more delightful. Highly recommend a stay here, AND to enjoy their delicious breakfast too.

Centrally located boutique hotel, probably the best located hotel in Bath if you’re on a short stay and need to be in the heart of things. The rooms reminded me of Porto Townhouse accomodation. Careful interior decoration. Built-in wardrobe size could maybe be bigger for the winter months. If you don’t mind the dulcet sounds of (distant) street musicians choose the larger room options which are located in the nearby and recently renovated building in Abbey Green with its old sycamore tree centre stage. Breakfast was charged separately and was to a good standard. Would recommend and will stay again. Reception was very welcoming and accommodating.

A beautiful traditional hotel on a cobbled street. A brilliant location. We arrived before check in was open but we were greeted by Monica who was friendly & helpful. She took our bags & told us they’d be in our room once it was ready. When we returned to the hotel, we met Veronica who gave us our key & a local map. Reception is small but adequate. The breakfast room opposite is beautifully decorated, bright & charming. The hotel is an old house which has been renovated but still holds the old charm. The stairs are spiral & due to the age of the building aren’t level which just adds to the character. In the basement is an Honesty Bar - again a lovely space with lovely features & well stocked. Our room was for 3 adults. A double bed with a single. The room was so well appointed. Tea, coffee & water was supplied in the room. The bed was very comfortable & the shower was very nice. The reception is not 24hr & doors to the hotel are locked from 6pm. The surrounding area is beautiful, The Abbey & Roman Baths just a short stroll away. Lots of lovely tea shops, bars & local shops, Jane Austen Centre & Royal Crescent & Royal Victoria Park. As we were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday the hotel had left a little note & chocolates in our room - a lovely gesture. We flew from Dublin to Bristol Airport & got the Air Decker bus which took approximately 45mins to get to Bath (station is just 10 mins walk to hotel) It was our first visit to Bath but certainly won’t be our last. Thank you both Veronica & Monica for a lovely stay at Eight.

From the minute we walked in we knew we had made a good choice with this small hotel. The reception was warm and informative while being efficient. All of the public spaces are lovely and inviting - including the honor bar in the basement. The room is well laid out and roomy for two people. Everything was very tasteful without being stuffy or overdone. The location is in the middle of everything you want to walk to. Very quiet pedestrian street with lovely view onto the large plane tree outside. Breakfast is made to order and delicious. We loved everything about our time at Eight. Highly recommend.

The location, hotel, food and staff were fantastic! Walking distance from the train station and only a few blocks from the Roman Baths and Abbey. Know that there is no lift. The staff actually carried our bags up to our room! We would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent boutique townhouse hotel in the heart of Bath, just steps from the Roman baths and historic cathedral. Loved the large first floor room with great decor. Great breakfast every day with a range of options -- one of the best full English breakfasts on our whole trip.

Wow, I am so glad I chose to stay at The Eight. First, incredible service. You're greeted with huge, welcoming smiles. I arrived early so they stored my luggage and delivered it to my room so I can explore and then called me when the room was ready. Second, the location is unbeatavle. They have 2 townhouses adjacent to each other. I stayed at the townhouse in Abbey Green courtyard, right next to the Abbey and Roman Baths. The central location allowed me to make it a home base. It feels like you're staying in your own private flat in a townhouse rather than a hotel. Next, the rooms are luxurious, modern and clean. I got a spacious double room with a bathtub which was spacious. The large single bed is very comfortable and I slept well. Their was a double shower plus handheld shower heads with strong water flow, nice hot water that was so soothing. The location is unbeatable--minutes from the train station and at the center of everything Bath has to offer. Windows open for natural air flow. The cleaning crew is fabulous. Will happily stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eight. We were in the main building on North Parade Passage, on the 2nd floor. The room and bathroom were thoughtfully designed (loved the bedside lamps that turned on with a simple touch to the lamp itself, and the green tile in the bathroom). Great shower. There was a makeup mirror stashed in the bedroom cupboard, something I couldn't even get at a huge Hilton where I stayed for work recently. The bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - this is part of what made it such a good stay. It's a small place with a small staff, but they really make you feel welcome, and were very helpful with cleanup when I got pooped on by one of Bath's ever-present gulls (!) If you're at the front of the building you'll certainly hear some noise during the night, because Bath is a party town, even on a weeknight in April - that's why they provide earplugs. But the atmosphere and comfort of the place more than made up for any carousers we heard one night. We highly recommend this little hotel.
