We were here 10 years ago and while overall, there is more going on and certain areas have been renovated, other things are tired and need refreshing.
First, the entire key and wristband system is antiquated. The keys are constantly failing which requires you to go back to a front desk to have it fixed. In four days, this happened five times. Time to upgrade to wristbands that act as keys and allow you to charge items to the room.
Next, all inclusive is a loose interpretation of the term. It’s mostly all inclusive but there is no clear explanation of things that are more and how much more they are. My wife wanted a corona bottle but was told it was extra. Not how much extra, just extra. The whole system could and should be revamped and would likely lead to greater revenue.
The beach is also annoying because of how many people are trying to sell excursions and goods. They do leave you alone but it’s endless and bothersome.
The food is fine. The drinks and staff are solid. The check in is annoying as 3pm is a hard/fast time for which there are no exceptions. Cleaning of room was spotty and didn’t happen at all one day.
The biggest negative was that my wife had $100 bill taken out of her wallet by someone who cleaned the room. Our fault for not putting in safe but still leaves you feeling vulnerable and violated. When reported during check out there was a lukewarm apology and we asked if we had reported it to security. Be cautious.
