Chambre d'hôtes Logis de Saint Jean

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Valerie is a gracious hostess and good cook. Breakfast was nice with fresh baked goods, homemade jams and yogurt, and fresh fruit. The Inn is quiet and comfortable and located near to the sights and restaurants in Bayeux.

We had a delightful and lovely stay at Chambres d'hotes Le Logis de Saint-Jean. We stayed in a lower room off the courtyard and it was extremely quiet and safe. In fact, once we walked in the main door, the outside world and street noises disappeared. The room and bathroom area were comfortable, with plenty of space for us to spread out a bit over our four-night stay. Breakfast was always ready for us, with a variety of pastries, fruit, homemade yogurt, tea, coffee, and more. Good conversations with our hostess and others staying at the B&B. We learned about muguet (lily of the valley), a tree from the French Revolution, local history, and various sites in Bayeux and nearby. We were a bit anxious about parking but it ended up not being an issue at all. Parking was free on rue Saint Jean and there were easily 3-6 spots available every evening (we typically came back to Bayeux around 6-7 PM). Easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions from the B&B. Driving out of Bayeux from this location was also easy; it was a great location to access areas across Normandy. If we come back to Normandy, we will definitely be staying here again. We highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this charming Bed and Breakfast that is only an easy 10-minute walk from the Bayeux train station. Our room was located in a quiet courtyard, was clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance of the town center, restaurants, shops, the Bayeux tapestry and Bayeux Cathedral. The hostess, Valerie, is very friendly and accommodating, speaks English fluently, and was more than happy to answer our many questions about the area. She was readily willing to meet the needs of our schedule and included delicious homemade muffins, jams and fresh fruit for breakfast each morning of our stay. We highly recommend this comfortable, very affordable establishment! Thank you, Valerie, for a wonderful experience!

Idéalement situé au tout début du coeur de ville le Logis Saint Jean nous a entièrement satisfait pour notre séjour de 3 nuits/4 jours. Nous remercions Valérie pour son accueil chaleureux et les moments partagés au petit déjeuner ainsi que pour ses bons conseils de visite. Les petits déjeuners étaient copieux et variés avec chaque jour une création maison confectionnée par Valérie tout comme ses confitures aux goûts inédits. Nous avions la chambre "Spérone" située à l'étage au dessus de la cour intérieure et celle-ci était très bien aménagée. Petite précision : si il n'y a pas de penderie il y a 2 étagères et un porte manteau qui font parfaitement l'affaire pour ranger les vêtements. Une adresse que nous recommandons.

Nous avions la chambre Mathilde, une chambre sans fenêtre, seulement la porte de la chambre est en verre. Dans la partie du bas, le verre est opaque, le haut est un verre normal, et vous pouvez la mettre en imposte. Vu que tous les personnes qui passent devant la chambre voient dedans, il vous faut tirer le rideau, donc plus de lumière du jour. Le lit est étroit, propablement 1.40m. La porte de la salle de bain est coulissante, si vous la fermez avec trop d'élan, vous n'arrivez plus à l'ouvrir, car elle se décroche! Petit-déjeuner: pas de fromage, pas de viande, pas d'oeuf, on a l'impression que tout est limité, comme les baguettes, parfois vous avez de la patisserie maison, parfois acheté. Le joghourt maison est nature....parfois il y a déjà des fraises coupées dans l'assiette, et du gâteau maison, que vous le vouliez ou pas......des fois il y a aussi des fruits....
