Harbor's Edge Motel

We had a great stay at Harbor's Edge. The rooms are small but comfortable. The room smelled fresh when we arrived, and the Bathroom was spotless. Check in was easy and the personnel was friendly. Walking distance to everything in town We'll be back!! Highly recommended!!

We had a very nice time and would stay again. We had room 13, which I think may be one of the smaller ones. It was tightish and the sink was in the room rather than the bathroom. A/c was loud and a window unit but worked very well. We were there 2 days and it worked well for us. The price for this accommodation was very reasonable and you couldn’t beat the location. We were on the 2nd floor and I think we had the best view. There was a wraparound balcony and we sat on chairs outside our room watching the sun rise and set. It is located across the street from the ferry, and a few steps from the Apostle Islands cruise. Walking distance to every thing in town! It really was a prime location because it faced the water. Bayfield is very small and cute and we could walk to everything we wanted to see: info center, museum, pier, grocery store, shops, restaurants, ferries! The price was great and I would stay again. It isn’t fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Motel staff is there 8-8, and then have a phone you can call if ok need. Parking is free and we didn’t need to move the car.

We booked a room with courtyard which was nice but no umbrella at the table and sun was very hot. Room was very clean but king bed very uncomfortable on one side, there is a sunken spot in mattress making it hard to get comfortable. Even though it was 84 outside they do not turn on air. Air conditioner is a window air conditioner and there is a dehumidifier you can't turn off and it was putting out warm air. Shower so small can't bend over to wash feet. We are not party people so were back in room by 7. TV does not have internet access so can't get onto Netflix to watch a movie. My boyfriend started not feeling well so we checked out early on reservation but no refund. Motel is in a great location with easy access to ferry, Apostle Island cruises and restaurants. Hotel over priced.

This was our first stay to Bayfield and this motel was in a great location. Close to everything. They have different sizes of rooms and we stayed in room 8A. It was located on the ground level. This motel does not have an elevator, not an issue for us but just mentioning in case you need one. Pros: 1. Check in staff was nice and friendly 2. Room was VERY clean. 3. Bathroom was big and spacious 4. The room was big and spacious. The second bed was in a private room. 5. Location was great! 6. Lovely landscaping and nice chairs to sit on in the front yard. Cons: 1. Online the room was pictured with a log sofa. When we got there no sofa just two wooden rocking chairs that are not very comfortable. The room says it can accommodate four, but this was not enough seating for four. 2. High bar top table for eating. Not sure why the motel chose this for seating. It only seats two (again room says it is for four) and does not work for short people or those that are handicapped. This room is massive so they could easily put a table for four in there. 3. Air condition unit in back bedroom is way up high. Only a tall person could work the controls. Please provide a stool for short people. 4. No mirror in back bedroom. It would be great if they provided one over the dresser. 5. Biggest problem with this room is with the window coverings in the front room. They are just basic blinds. No curtains. Thie room has four big windows. The blinds do not block out all the light and you will be woken up by daylight in the morning. Back bedroom is nice and dark since it does not have any windows. Overall we enjoyed this hotel except for the few issues above. We would stay here again.

Nice, quaint, cozy room. Small, basic room that had everything we needed for a restful night. Room was clean and comfortable. We were able to turn off the air conditioning unit and open window for a nice lake breeze. Beautiful view of Lake Superior from our room. Staff was kind and helpful. The ferry and cruise boat are just steps away from our room. Our only disappointment was that they were booked up and could only accommodate us for just one night!

The room was small, just a bed, two night stands and a television. It was nice and in a very walkable location. We didn’t need a fancy place, just somewhere to sleep and this was clean and comfortable. The employees were super sweet and helpful.

This is a beautiful place to stay ! We had a room on the first floor with two queen beds, which were actually in two rooms! A small kitchenette area, beautiful bath, and a fold out futon if needed ! You are close to the water and the ferry with a view of Lake Superior! The beds were very comfortable and a small private deck outside your door. Highly recommend this lodging to everyone !

This is the third time we've stayed at Harbor's Edge Motel, and it was excellent in every way. Our room-#12, had an incredible view of the harbor and the ferry boats to Madeline Island. Everything was clean and perfect. The staff was nice as can be. We have stayed many places in Bayfield, and love this beautiful town. The location of Harbor's Edge is probably the best of all the places we've stayed at. The only problem is trying to get a room here! Book early- you won't be disappointed.

Awesome place! This place had the perfect location in Bayfield, where you could walk to shops, galleries, and incredible restaurants. It’s also close to the lakeshore. It was fun watching the ferries load and unload, strolling along the dock and waterfront. We parked our car when we got into town and didn’t use it until we headed out of town the next day. Extremely clean and well maintained room. Fresh paint and newer fixtures. Ignore the negative reviews. This is not a corporate hotel. If that’s your thing, then it might not be the place for you. But if you’d love to be in the heart of such a beautiful town, love supporting small businesses, and enjoy getting to know some of your fellow guests, this is the place for you. We will definitely stay here again.
