We received a warm welcome - even after 8pm on Saturday night - and our lamb shanks & mash were heavenly! (Other eateries in Beddgelert had been too busy to serve us). We returned after our walk on Sunday at 5.30pm to an equally warm welcome and they managed to find us two roast beef Sunday dinners!! Delicious!

It's a great hotel and friendly staff. And yes the hotel is a little dated, but who stays in their room all day. Its been slowly getting updated, the rooms are fine and the staff very helpful. I stayed with my mother for 3 days as I was going hiking in snowdonia. The breakfast is quite sufficient and the continental breakfast bar has all you need. The only reason that I have given this 4 stars is that breakfast is served a little late 8am and being a hiker I like to get up early and head out. So I think if the breakfast was at 7am I would of given it 5 stars. Had an amazing time there and will certainly stay there again.

I asked for 2 different curries from the menu both weren’t ready! Despite it being 6pm. I ordered the chicken burger and when it came it was 3 chicken dippers in a bun. Asked the waiter he said, we don’t do burgers! My daughter had lamb chops and they were over cooked and very dry. Avoid this place

Had a very pleasant couple of hours here.After a day in Snowdonia we stopped here on Sunday for dinner.Despite being busy they accommodated us straight away. We enjoyed a lovely Roast and curry! Everything homemade and perfectly cooked.Dylan who served us was very pleasant and did all he could to make our visit an enjoyable one.He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and we had an extremely enjoyable time.Thanks Dylan,we will be back!

Only stopped for a single drink on the way back from a day out. No staff to help and a distinct lack of courtesy from the staff. Seemed more concerned about people in their establishment who hadn’t payed their bills (saw them ask 2-3 parties whilst there and were told yes on each occasion). No warmth or welcome. Looks nice but doesn’t feel nice. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

We came to Beddgelert for a Sunday roast at the Prince Llewellyn but were dissapointed that they have stopped doing them. Decided to try the Goat and were not dissapointed. Received great service from Duilan even though they were rushed off their feet. We all chose the roast beef and it was delicious. Served with potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, carrots, peas, a delicious spiced red cabbage and Yorkshire pud. Would recommend and come back again.

We visited The Royal Goat hotel on Sunday in July. We had a lovey Sunday lunch, excellent value for money. and the service was second to none. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Dylan. Will definitely return in the near future. Thanks.

Came here for lunch / dinner we were looking for Places to eat as were staying in glamping pods - - the only issue I had was with thier menu they show you what the food is and what it is then when it comes it has extra things that is not on the menu - it happens at dinner then I tried again for lunch and made it clear that they really should put- for example their chicken club states it’s chicken bacon and the hotel said it very nice and it has egg in there - yet on the menu NO EGG mentioned- so just and FYI double check what you are ordering - the food it self is fine no issues it’s just the menu is not clear. Overall fit for purpose -

We just had food as we were staying at another local hotel but the one we decided to stay at stopped serving food at 5pm on the Sunday- so we were delighted to find this gem, I have a gluten intolerance so when we saw that the menu had many gluten free options, actually more than many other restaurants I’ve been too- and the gluten free battered fish and chips was light and fresh and we were very happy with the quality and service and price, will definitely come again when in these parts.
