Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center

We were prepared when booking this hotel from existing reviews by others. What happened turns out disappointing. The room on 2000 series on second floor seems an old unit, no shower floor towel, bath tub a bit old but functional, no fridge and so on. We were prepared for all that considering the price and location. At bed time, we found two bugs on bed linen but dusted them off. It's tropical atmosphere, what one expect! The next morning after breakfast, however, I found a few more on my bed. I pulled out a one of my credit card and killed a few. When pulled up my bed cover further, more showed up ...... See the bug in the video clip. I called front desk who sent a room services personnel to look at it. The personnel seems surprised to see the bugs as well. The front desk lady was nice and quick to act and changed my room to the room on 6000 series and okay with us. I requested to talk to their manager. Once back in late afternoon that day, I approached frondesk rep who went to backroom to fetch for the manager. The manager showed up in a while and apologized lightly, and started to push back by saying it's tropical weather here,bugs are normal, and many more. I told him that the room is infested too bad and need a thoughrou cleaning to eradicate the infestation. The manage then went on to explaining the same. I feel disappointed. For this hotel, I do not recommend this hotel until they do a good job. Or if you do like us, not exactly though, do make sure to ask the right question to avoid such a room. Good luck next time.

The most unorganised hotel I have ever been to. Check in is from 3pm and so we arrived at 4pm to be greeted to a huge queue of people unable to get their room as none of the cleaning was completed. Reception told us it would take 30 mins to get a room which was a complete lie. We kept going up and checking and they kept saying another 10 minutes which carried on for 2.5 hours at which time we only received the key to 1/4 rooms I had booked. Other guests we spoke to waited over 4 hours for their room key. We were given one soft drink as a concession for this which I thought was unacceptable. Instead of waiting around to be told further fake waiting times, we left the hotel to go back to town and then on returning at 11pm, the new receptionist had no idea about the issue and struggled to find our other rooms we had been waiting for, resulting in more waiting around after already being frustrated about the situation earlier. Eventually the receptionist from earlier appeared in a very dismissive manner and shoved a post it note with our remaining room numbers for the man to find. Not good service at all. The next day we booked a shuttle bus to the airport. We got to the designated spot and they had run out of room on the bus despite us pre booking. This means we had to wait another 30 mins for a bus to be organised resulting in us having less time at the airport to get through security etc. The actual hotel is fine with a nice pool area (one of the reasons we had booked but were unable to use due to no room access for hours on end) but the management of this hotel is atrocious. Wyndham need to look at this urgently as it is dragging down their name as a trusted hotel chain. I will never be staying at a Wyndham again if they can’t guarantee a stress free experience.

The hotel is nice and conveniently located in relationship to the airport, but the rooms are a bit dated. Also, our specific room could've been cleaned more thoroughly prior to our arrival. Overall, it's a pretty decent place to stay for a night or two; go elsewhere if you're looking for a longer-term stay.

No water in the room bar fridge, we had 4 lights and only 1 had a bulb. Only one of the 3 restaurants were open to the public. Service in it wasn't good and the food was crappy and overpriced. The shuttle for airport pick up never showed so we took a cab. The check in staff were great.

It was a nice property. Phone in the room didn't work and no room service. More food options would be nice.

Disappointed. Property was outdated and maintained poorly. Instead of receiving a VIP upgrade, I was given a downgrade from what I purchased through *******.

The shuttle that I booked never showed up at the airport to pick my wife and I up. I was forced to pay for an Uber.

This property is holding on by a thread. There were bugs crawling all over the lamp and desk. Its was nasty! We chose to change hotels immediately and had to demand a shuttle to the new property after asking the manager how they were going to handle the situation and they suggested an Uber. ******* customer service assisted with the refund which was great! I highly suggest looking elsewhere!

I stayed two different nights - one at the beginning of my trip, the other at the end. The first night was difficult. I and several other people waited over 45 minutes to get into a room, and some people found that the room they were given was already occupied. I wanted to switch hotels for my last night, but timing didn't allow. Fortunately, the 2nd time I stayed there, the check in was much easier. The pool looks great in the pictures, but the water is very dirty. No one was swimming in it. Breakfast was good, however.
