Magic Aqua Rock Gardens

Came as a family of 4 ( 2boys aged 8 & 12) last minute booking in October school holidays. Wish I read reviews before! We go to Benidorm twice a year but would never return to this hotel. The location is perfect (2 minutes to Levante beach) but that was the only perk. We upgraded to ultra inclusive which gave us a day out the water park - and a day out at sister hotels, but it wasn’t worth the extra.. we could have saved a lot if we booked tickets online. Our transfer dropped us off at McDonald’s which meant dragging cases up a steep hill..we didn’t mind it too much but not ideal for older people or pushchairs etc. The hotel was like a maze - takes a good few days to get used to it. Food was ok, we always found something but by the end of the week it was really repetitive. We ate out the last 2 days. My kids prefer pool snacks. All inclusive drinks were bang average, could drink all day and not make a difference. Bar was always running out of cocktail ingredients. We had to purchase 4 plastic tumblers to reuse around the pool. I get the idea - saves plastic cups dumped all around the pool, but they should have wrist bands instead of showing key cards everytime you want a beverage. The pool didn’t open till 10am, and by 1pm we found we had to go to the beach every day as the sun would disappear behind surrounding buildings. So if like me you’re a bit of a sun worshiper I would not recommend coming here. Also no balcony unless your a family of 5 and they’re is only a limited amount of rooms with balcony’s. The slides are quite dangerous as well by the way - my kids had fun but there was 1 big slide they went on once and both banged the back of their heads. They avoided it the rest of the week. The entertainment staff were great with all the kids.. foam party was great - some of the night shows though were cringy but it’s free entertainment. Perfect spot for being right next to the beach like I said but if you’re planning on spending a week or even a full day by the pool it’s not great.

We had a wonderful time. Always something to do. We had time to rest snd to be super active! Well organized! The animation team was awsome! Nice guys! We had fun with them! Specially Cobal and Josema, we definetly will go back! We loved the water games.

Our Family Holiday and we had a great time. We enjoyed the food and 2 of us are very fussy eaters. All deibks on AI were named . I drink Baileys and it was all real Baileys. Our room was good ,very comfy beds and aircon was brilliant in our room . Everything was made better by our Favourite Entertainer Cobal ( Jim Carey) if we could brought him home we would have . He is the best part of our stay. Just a lovely kind funny bloke. We think the entertainment has things backwards with the karaoke though. Being that this full of us UK punters, I'd say having the karaoke in the main hall for a longer time would be a better idea. It would keep people in that main hall. Everyone just sloped of and left the main entertainment to get to the karaoke hall. A lot of disappointment that it was just a very strict 45 minutes a night. All being said we enjoyed it all. Loved that you keep your cups idea , stopped you being a lazy sod and made you bring your cups back. Do wish people cleaned up their mess though in reception, is it so hard to take a glass back to the bar we would do it at home wouldn't we? Poor bar staff definitely needed to be 2 at all times in all bars. They had to stop serving to collect glasses so we helped them so they could carry on serving. Met some great people in the Karaoke Bar and hope they all have safe travels home x And Magic Rock you need to double Cobals Wages !!!!

Hotel was fine, clean, good choice of food and snacks and drinks, enough to keep the kids entertained, entertainment was ok, better for younger kids than teens. Had a few arcade type machines and pool table. Pool and slides were OK, even though there's not alot of sunbeds we always managed to get one at any time of the day. The playstation room and pizza take away were a plus. Being able to use the sister hotels was great, gave us a change of scenery and the slides were better at both robin hood and tropical splash plus it was easier to get a sunbed. Could use the all inclusive at these hotels too and food trucks dotted around, would have preferred to stay at one of these if I'm honest. The hill isn't that bad unless you were planning on going down to the beach or shops multiple times a day or had a pram or wheelchair. Not enough staff on at the bars, often had to queue for 10 mins for a drinks at all bars.

We’re do I start. After reading some awful reviews I was pleasantly surprised Yes the hill to get to it is awful but take the left hill just out of the hotel and it’s easier plus takes you to the beach cove Hotel decors amazing all African themed. Check in quick, rooms available from 4 but they ring you if ready earlier. And you can start using facility’s as soon as you check in. Plus luggage room to use. Food there was plenty and of good choice, basics for the children chicken nuggets, chips, pasta and sauces Lifts yes a pain but you get used to them quickly. Or if on lower floor stairs easier. You need to pay 1 euro for cups when you get there but they give you a new one each time you get a drink and at the end of the holiday you get your money bk. Alain good site the measures are typical Spanish ones so watch out after a couple you can be tipsy. Drinks were all premium brands. entertainment team really good especially for the younger ages but teenagers could do archery, shooting, dart. One man I didn’t catch his name was amazing with the children and adults such enthusiasm even after a long day Yes the pool is freezing but you get used to it once you’re in. Slides are fast and did here a few people say the hot scrapes and bruises. Only down side yes the beds are made daily but the didn’t empty the bins and my daughter left a jumper on the bed which got picked up by cleaners with sheets. After many trips to the reception didn’t manage to get it bk. like most hotels you have good and bad staff but I can say I didn’t have a bad experience with any. My advice don’t listen to the bad reviews make your mind up for yourself when there. I joined the magic aqua rock Facebook page and that really helped with any questions I had before.

We booked this through easyjet holidays mainly due to the closeness to the Levante beach and good range of facilities at the hotel. The hotel is up a bit of a steep hill but it's not as bad as people make out and you do get used to it. The beach is at the bottom of the hill (next to a McDonalds and Burger King!). There are loads of 'beach shops' within a few minutes walk for cheap souvenirs and anything you might have forgotten! The hotel itself - the reception staff are a bit grumpy and expect you to know everything, which is odd as you do sometimes do have a question! The whole hotel complex is 'African themed' which we had no idea about before we booked. At first we thought it was a bit odd there was a fibreglass Rhino and realistic looking tiger in reception, but then as you go round, the theming is everywhere! The Reception is up a lot of stairs and is level -2, and all the main facilities are on levels -2, -1 and zero (pool, bars etc). Effectively the hotel is like a big office block with lots of lifts getting you around the various facilities. Some lifts didn't go down to -1 (main restaurant) or to the top (level 12 - adults only chill out zone with its own sunloungers, bar and panoramic view of the beach) which was ok once you worked it out. There were also a couple of glass lifts which are worth a ride just for the experience! If you have teenagers there is a very well appointed room full of video game consoles, virtual reality etc. The pool is open 10am until 7pm and is really effective at stopping people reserving sun loungers with towels because they close access to it until 9.55am each day. People do queue to reserve the ones they want nearest the pool, but they only tended to queue from 15 minutes before that. And if you weren't fussy about having loungers by the pool there were plenty of others elsewhere. The pool was good, cleaned every day, and has a swim up pool bar too. It also had a waterfall, jacuzzi seating and there were also several waterslides. There was also a giant screen so you could watch music videos, sport etc whilst around the pool. Your room key was on a computer chip cleverly attached to your all inclusive wristband, so never any need to carry (or lose) keys or money! The cleaners work hard and do a good job, towels are changed daily as long as you leave them in the bath to indicate you want new ones. You could literally go here and spend no extra money at all, so if you're on a budget its a great choice. We had a day out at Mundomar, the nearby dolphin and animal park, and the hotel provided us with free packed lunches, all we needed to get ourselves was a big bottle of drink. The best thing of all though was the entertainment! There is a small entertainments team but they work so hard and never stop! All day there are games to join in with like archery, shooting, golf etc and the entertainers make them so fun. In there evenings the safari bar is the main place, it's like a showbar with a stage and the

Dirty stained sheets on fold away bed on arrival. Something that represented a child's medicine spilt all down the leg of the chair day 1 and still there when we left 6 days later! Air con made horrendous noise after being on for 10 mins and the fridge sounded as though it was going to explode! Reception staff rude huffed and puffed constantly expecting you to know everything, if you knew the answer you wouldn't be asking! Other staff very friendly and polite. Entertainment staff excellent. Family hotel where kids aren't allowed any floats etc in the pool! Lifts so slow and kept breaking down we actually got stuck in one and this had happening all week. Other customers all wandering around getting lost all asking each other where everything was ! Of all the people we spoke with everyone said they would never return!! For the money they charge I would expect a higher standard.

My family and I have had the best week in the magic rock garden the hotel was amazing the food was great and the hotel entertainment staff went out of there to make you feel involved and took the time to make sure our children had an amazing holiday they absolutely loved the form party and thank you all for am amazing week Big shout out to Cobel & Chema they are fantastic 🩷♥️❤️💛🩵

We stayed at this hotel for our 1st time in Benidorm and really enjoyed every minute. The hotel is very nice and has a funky African/ safari theme to it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely too. You could see the pride in the chefs work. Our room was a nice size, plenty of space, and the cleaners did a fantastic job of keeping it clean for us. Would we go again? Absolutely!! Only one thing that is worth pointing out, as other reviews may also have said.....The hotel is situated up a hill. It's not a massive, long hill, but it may pose issues for those with disabilities or restrictions. Thank you Magic Rock Gardens for a lovely holiday. 😍
