Medplaya Hotel Flamingo Oasis

Great stay. Fairly central to town and beach. Facilities where good although pool was closed and room looked out onto a noisy building site to the rear. Close to local pupluc transport and plenty of parking.

The hotel was great .. i was all inclusive .. in a double room .. the food was really nice .. good selection for breakfast lunch and dinner .. could be a bit more fruit .. entertainment wasnt as good as last time but it is understandable as not so many guests The staff were brilliant , very helpful and friendly , the entertainment team were excellent ! The room was very spacious , clean and warm , kettle supplied with selection of tea and coffee , uk tv and nice balcony . The price was good for 2 people but i was on my own and did not get a discount .. it would have been brilliant if there was a single person discount

Although Spain has new regulations regarding Aircon systems being on, the law says that tourist rooms are regarded as private and as such air con units are allowed to operate at normal temps. We were on the 20 floor and the heat in the rooms was so unbearable at night but apparently the whole hotel had to stick to Aircon not dropping below 27 Deg Celsius.

Been to Benidorm a few times but this was the first for my mum, decided to book here and I was slightly apprehensive as she was a wheelchair user but once there my fears was gone! To start off the staff are absolutely amazing! I can’t give enough praise to the the reception staff! Whenever we went out on the mobility scooter they would take the wheelchair behind reception then as soon as I was back they would get it for me even if there was a que! It even got to a point where they knew me by face over the 10 days I didn’t even need to ask they saw me and knew straight away as soon as I walked in the hotel! Special mention to Charlie who was so nice and I had a great convo with him and to Phillip who when I was leaving came up to specially and said I hope you have a nice flight home and over the 10 days we’ve all been amazed at how much care you have given your mum and your a credit to her to which I thought was really nice! The rooms were nice and spacious and we had a nice pool view we got 213, the hotel itself was absolutely spotless at all times! The bar had a great selection of drinks served till midnight for all inclusive customers, special mention to christiphor who was super nice and allowed me to get extra drinks because my mum was unable to go up to the bar with being in a wheelchair. The food is absolutely superb there was something for everyone and 90% of it tasted amazing. Of course there was somethings not to be liked but with the variety they had it was to be expected. I think the only downsides around the food was desserts was named as house specials so you didn’t know what you was getting and I found the breakfast to be a bit subpar especially the sausages but apart from that it was fantastic! Special mention to ishane in the restaurant who was really friendly and notified us that if we spoke to reception they would give us access via the club door which made it much more accessible for us! Honestly all in all I can’t fault this place! From the staff going above and beyond every single day we was there to the hotel itself it was one true holiday to remember! I will be 100% booking again! The tui reps annemarie and cat were fantastic too! Honestly I would not book anywhere else in the future! To everyone at the medplaya team I can’t thank you enough for what you did for me and my mum over the past 10 days you made her holiday so enjoyable your staff are amazing and please show them this review and give them credit I’m sure they will remember us! We stayed at this hotel is May 2024. Rooms are basic but clean. We were on 20th floor and lifts can be a pain.. Lovely and friendly staff. Alcoholic drinks are basic and I had to pay for branded drinks which are €3 each or you can pay a daily premium package for €15 . I personally think the hotel is on the small side for the amount of guest they occupy make it very noisy and crowded. Not a great selection of entertainment and selection of food was repeated on a daily basis. We occasionally went outside the hotel for food and drinks due to this reason and there some lovely local bars opposite hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean The rooms are basic, the staff are great, and the meals are good as well. The only drawbacks are the lifts kids playing with buttons to floors. The sensor lights are not set correctly and lights go out when you are in the toilets don't stand still or sit too long you will be in the dark.

Amazing all round staff food room 1st floor cos disabled only let down is piano room not our choice but we will be booking at later on in the year cannot come quick enough we spent our nights across the roads at rock and roll House fab entertainment

This hotel is in a great location to beach & bars restaurants ect. We had a lovely clean spacious room the curtains didn't close so had light shining through all night. Food good however there were people entering the restaurant wet, dressed very inappropriate staff didn't really care. Lots of drunk loud behaviour around the pool. This unfortunately isn't what I'd expect from a 4 star so felt a little let down. Second visit but won't be returning.

I had previously stayed at this hotel over 20 years ago and came back to the UK raving about it and recommended to my family and friends. Unfortunately after this visit I’m not raving about it. I thought the food was average, I could always get something to eat but was expecting things like theme nights in the restaurant. If you spend an extra €50 a day you can get all the lifts straight to the restaurant floor on -1 where you have access to the back door. All others have to get off at the ground floor and walk to the reception area where you can get another lift down to the restaurant or you can walk down the stairs. The entertainment was average except for Jill Ryan who was superb. I was on the 17th floor and never had any problems with the lifts. The hotel was clean. There’s a kettle in the room and you get tea/coffee on arrival and a couple of small capsules of cream/milk. Your tea/coffee/sugar is topped up but not the milk/cream. Best buy milk if you take it in your coffee. In my opinion the hotel has lost its 4* wow and it’s now just an average all inclusive hotel. If you’re looking for a better experience pay the €50 euros a day for premium drinks, bottled water and other facilities although you will still get the same food. It’s on a great location with a taxi rank outside and some great bars a restaurants on the doorstep. The noise from the building works is minimal and won’t affect your holiday.
