Sandy Glade Holiday Park

Although we stayed before and our chalet was not 100% , but the park was good, close to beach nice cafe, and great club house we chanced booking for a 4 night break in October another chalet this one was dirtier than the first, floors dirty, hand prints and splashes with what looked like ketchup up the wall, toilet had pee stains and dust on it, puddle of water on bathroom floor which was there all of our stay as needed to be mopped up (no mop), saucepan handles dangerously loose, patio window absolutely filthy, a tablet on bedroom floor by bed glad we spotted it before dogs got hold of it stuff left on the floor from previous people. staying. Beds unmade thought they were made up for arrival. We witnessed the so called cleaners go into a chalet opposite ours they sat on sofa on phones then put bedding outside, vacuumed then left no cleaning done no wonder place is so dirty. Such a shame as we like the park.

A lovely little get away for a reasonable price. We have been coming to Somerset for a few years now, but this was our first time staying at John fowler. For the price we paid, for 3 adults, 2 children and 2 pets, there’s not much to complain about. When arriving we were greeted by a lovely gentleman, I want to say his name was David. He checked us in, and explained everything to us, then whenever we saw him around the site, always said hello and was very friendly. We stayed in a pet value chalet, it was clean, tidy, and great for resting our heads. Another member of staff who was brilliant was Shelley on reception, she was such a sweetheart, and was brilliant when we decided to come back next year with basically the whole family. She booked our holiday, making sure we were all near eachother. A credit to the team. The site overall was lovely, swimming pool did the job, however the first time we went there was only one lifeguard, who left the pool unattended a couple of times. The second time there was 2 which was a lot better. The entertainment of an evening was great, I feel like they could do a bit more for children though as it didn’t seem like much. Overall we had a very lovely week, and look forward to coming back.

We have just returned from the best weekend at Sandy Glade. My daughter got through to the finals of the talent contest, so we were attending the finals weekend. The park was very clean and tidy. Our platinum caravan was very clean and new, although a bit small, it wasn’t overly a problem. Chefs corner was great, and very quick at turning around food. The entertainment was brilliant. The stripeys were great, and made sure everyone had a great time. They worked very hard and the panto they did was absolutely amazing. A big shout out to stripey Josh and stripey Charlie who made the weekend for my daughter, they were absolutely amazing with her and Sienna will remember this weekend for years to come. We go to Trewlawn Manor a few times a year, and have never visited any other site, so this was a change for us, but I have to say we had a great time and will definitely be back to visit soon.
