Our family group of 8 stayed 4 nights. Rooms were clean and adequate, full of charm. Breakfast room was stunning with a beautiful ceiling, breakfast was good but if you weren’t up early the boiled eggs or fruit weren’t replenished. One of our group is gluten free and she was given GF bread every morning. The owner, Patricia, what can I say? She was wonderful. Friendly and accommodating, when we drank the bar dry of red wine and Cremant, she allowed us to drink our own wine. She was so friendly that we invited her to join us for a drink. The oldies in our group have limited French, Patricia has limited English, but with the assistance of our younger family members and google translate, we had a good night. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay again

Great location centre of Bethune. Characterful building. Parking nearby. Friendly, efficient staff. Lovely, spacious suite with homely decor and comfortable beds for one adult and two children. Room was on top floor so it did get very hot - we stayed in July - but not much the hotel can do about that. Breakfast was superb.

Would definitely stay at this hotel again, it fulfils all our expectations. There is nothing negative to say about this hotel. excellent breakfast with a lots of choices and good value for money. A comfortable, attractive & stylish hotel without being over the top.

Amazing hotel, discovered online as looking for overnight stop over on drive from UK to Switzerland. Gave us free room.upgraded as found standard room too small. Lovely location near town square with restaurants, free overnight parking outside hotel, good bathrooms, ok shower, had conti breakfast. Great service and very friendly staff

I lead a group of middle aged motorcyclists and when we are in this area I know this hotel will take care of us. I have used this hotel previously and have always found that it is suited to mine and other members of the group's needs even though we are very limited on the French language.

Second time staying at the Eden. The location can't be faulted in Bethune, right in the city centre, 50 metres away for all the bars and restaurants, the rooms (55EUR) are excellent and great vale, the breakfast offers a great choice for 10EUR The hotel comes into its own if you are on bikes, the owners let you park you bikes for free in their courtyard. However on this visit, my bike was in need of attention having been through 6 days of hard riding in the Alps. From our previous visit I was aware that the owner was a motorcycle dealer in a past life and was hoping he would be able to point my in the right direction to get my bike fixed, to my delight he just stated working on the bike! Fixed with no charge - absolutely exceptional service. Can't recommend the Eden highly enough.

Would recommend this Excellent boutique hotel located close to centre of town, staff friendly and helpful even when not speaking French. Quite area with centre ville within 5 minutes walk offering selection of restaurants and bars. Clean hotel bead room a good size, Worth paying extra for continental breakfast with good selection of breads meats cheese and pastry’s available. Parking opposite in public car park (charges in pay machine)

Slept well, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, unless it was significantly updated. Great location and the outside is smart, but the inside is dated and dilapidating. Receptionist spoke very little English, which was unusual - but it gave us the opportunity to try our French :-) Nobody on reception when we left in the morning, so we left the key and assumed that was OK. Exterior door to the street was left wide open all night - seemed to be faulty.

We were two couples and chose Bethune for our pre Christmas trip as there was a Marche de Noel in the Grand Place which was a few minutes walk from the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and professional. We had Superior Double rooms - one was a good size but the other very much smaller. Beds were comfortable and bed lines was good. Wi Fi was intermittent in the rooms but find in the bar area which was close by. The main downside was that on the biggest room overlooked other rooms opposite the courtyard outside which in summer would probably be busy and the other room looked out directly onto the street. This meant we need to keep the curtains closed a lot of the time. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
