Having just stayed the night at the Kirkstyle, I felt compelled to write this review to share info on this lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of Biggar. The building was full of character, the room was beautifully decorated, en-suite was clean and modern, the beds were really comfy, and the breakfast was fabulous. There was nothing not to like about the stay I had. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to this area.

We stayed for 2 nights as we where attending a family wedding nearby. We could not fault the size of the rooms and the beds where very comfortable. The breakfasts where wonderful, very hot and a great selection. Staff also friendly and welcoming. We would come back and recommend to family and friends.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff where efficient and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and they were happy to provide vegan options. We would definitely stay at the Kirkstyle again. There are no staff on the premises over night

When we got back from the wedding we had attended,about midnight,when we opened our room door it was like walking into a sauna,as re tall designer radiator, was at setting 5,the highest it could be.
The room temperature was ok when we arrived about midday,but was stifling at night.
A leak also developed in the bathroom,coming from the washbasin area.
We called the duty manager who in fairness had a young lad out in no time,he checked & couldn’t find the leak,mopped up the pool of water off the floor,so we didn’t use the basin after that.
Apologised that he couldn’t move us to another room as they were full.
Stood at reception on day of departure for about 15 mins to hand key over,no one appeared,taxi arrived,had to leave key on reception desk

Arrived earlier than check in. Lady was very accommodating as room was ready. Great room beautifully decorated and everything you needed. Breakfast was also great.

The hotel is lovely and service was great. Only issue with the room was a strong smell coming from the drain in the bathroom.
Apart from that we had a great stay. Breakfast was delicious!

Fantastic overnight stay while attending a wedding at Cornhill House Hotel nearby . Staff were very accommodating to an earlier check in time as the wedding was at 1:30 pm and I was lucky enough that my room was ready to drop my bag off before going to the wedding . The room was clean and well appointed . Breakfast delicious and cooked to order .

We have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at The Kirkstyle and it has been lovely. We had received a phone call about check in time and our room was ready early. We found it quite cold in the afternoon but it was explained that the heating came on at 5 and then the room was toasty warm both in the evening and morning. The lady even brought us 2 blankets in case we needed them. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept well, breakfast was perfect on both mornings and staff were lovely. The hotel is on the high street and perfect for the Edinburgh bus, we had a great day at the Chris**as markets. We will not hesitate to return to The Kirkstyle. Thankyou,

Kirkstyle hotel is a basic hotel but it’s absolutely spotless and amazing staff , Breakfast is 5* absolutely spot on the service this morning ( Tuesday 18th) was first class she was so friendly making sure we had enough tea coffees etc well done definitely be back.
