Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives

Our experience at Barceló Whale Lagoon was exceptional. What makes the difference is the amazing staff. Adam, the Front Office Manager, made our stay truly memorable. The front office team, including Fathey and Shavin, were always available to assist with any requests, providing excellent customer service throughout our stay. The dining experience was outstanding. Aslam, the F&B Manager, was attentive and ensured that our meals were taken care of. A special mention to the restaurant team—Charles, Sally, and Suresh—for their impeccable service and their smile. Every meal was a delight, and they made dining at the resort feel extra special. Furthermore, you should try Suresh drinks at the bar! For those looking for adventure and to explore the incredible marine life, the Dive Centre team was phenomenal. Abu, Iyaz, Shan, Azim, Tholal and Kambili were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their job. They surely make sure you're well taken care of, wether you are a beginner or a seasoned ocean lover. The Water Sports team, including Bishar and Nahutte, also were very professional and friendly at the same time. Don’t hesitate to book any activity with them. Fun is ensured! Every member of the team in Barceló plays a role in creating an unforgettable experience. We look forward to returning soon!

Such a beautiful resort with wonderful staff! Too many to name but enjoyed everyone in the spa including Widya and Esther. Awesome servers includind Aryan, Suresh, Manish, Imma, Srishant (sp?). Housekeeping is fantastic and so is everyone at reception. Having the most amazing time here and so sad to leave!

I called this My Happy Island. The room and deco was just amazing with its high ceilings and its beautiful coral pictures. lovely dressing area, and amazing inside/outside showers. The whole island was just idyllic, with its beautiful restaurants. the whole island was so clean. All the staff were so happy and would do anything for you. The chefs would cook something specially for you if there was something you wanted. We would certainly love to return.

We had an absolutely marvelous beautiful gorgeous incredible stay. The resort is clean, beautiful, and comfortable but that isn't just what makes it special. What made the trip so incredibly special was the care, attention, and friendliness of the team at the resort. Pooja was a fantastic, attentive server who always remembered us, what we liked and where we liked to sit from day 1. She always had a ready smile and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Charles helped us out planning any special meals and was always around the restaurant checking guests had what they needed. Dewa is a terrific, friendly sous chef who made great food he was happy to modify if needed. Shaheen kept our GORGEOUS over water villa absolutely spotless. The whole Team at Koamas Dive and Water Center helped us at one point or another either getting our snorkel gear or providing information on the tours or actually being our guides on the Tours we took. The were all very informed on the tours and availability and would even add tours if there was enough demand. I cant say enough about how safe we felt snorkeling with Anton. The entire time we were snorkeling- while he was pointing out different sea life- he was also always looking around, checking on us and making sure everyone was safe and comfortable in the water and doing it with an engaging, friendly demeanor. He made sure everyone got to see what we were there to see and also made time to get to know a little bit about everyone who was out with him. That said ALL of the Team at the center were terrific. I wish I could name them all here but we lost their names on the way home. I cant say enough how much we loved this anniversary trip or about how incredible it was from start to finish. The location is special, the resort is special, and the people are so very special. Thanks Barcelo Whale Lagoon!

The Maldives are a great place for swimming and diving. Even if you have never done it before, the hotel has wonderful people who will help you. I would like to say a special thank you to Anton. A very attentive and professional instructor who will carefully accompany you on water excursions. I went snorkeling and swimming with manta rays with him. Anton monitors the group, pays attention to everyone. Before the dive, he gives detailed, understandable instructions, and during the dive he is always next to the group and monitors the condition of the participants. It is a pleasure to be with such a nice person in the middle of the ocean. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
