Coombe House

We enjoyed a two night stay in this charming and convenient location. Made perfect by host Dave, who is welcoming, attentive, and engaging. We felt well cared for and savored a yummy breakfast. Additionally, Dave shared valuable insight on hikes and recommendations on restaurants and sights for exploring. We would eagerly return!

From the moment David greeted us at the door, we knew Coombe House was going to be a highlight of our week in the UK. After introductions, we were offered tea, coffee or water in the parlor. My sister and I had a lovely decorated room with a private large bathroom (tub and shower) on the first floor and our daughters were in an equally lovely room with a private bathroom on the second floor. David asked us to fill out our breakfast order so he could be prepared for the next morning. The menu options were plentiful. We walked into Bourton-on-the-Water for dinner on a scenic sidewalk that meanders along the water. Breakfast the next two mornings began at 8:30 and David did a fantastic job of preparing and serving the four of us plus four other guests. Our breakfasts were delicious and served at the right temperature. He gave us suggestions for sightseeing in the Cotswolds which we appreciated and enjoyed. There is ample parking off the street and the area is very quiet. If you read this, David, please know that we didn’t want to leave! Thank you for blessing us with your warm hospitality!

This was my second visit to Coombe House after visiting with a friend in 2024. We had such a great time then and when I returned this year, travelling alone, I spent an amazing 5 days revisiting the beautiful Bourton on the Water and staying at Coombe House. Everything was perfect, the rooms cosy and breakfast first class. David is the best host - knowledgeable, funny and always great company. I highly recommend Coombe House!

Rooms were very comfortable with every amenity you could think of. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, milk and water provided in room. Bed was super comfortable. B&b was just a few minutes walk from the village, easy parking and in a quiet position. Breakfasts were excellent with a very good choice. And David, the host was wonderful. Very helpful and an interesting character! All round excellent B&b

My mum and I had an exceptional stay at David’s property, which is in a great spot just outside and walking distance to the busyness of the town. On site parking was great to have. The room was comfortable, and had every amenity we needed (including fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee). Breakfast was generous and delicious. David was a wonderful host and gave us great suggestions for a day trip around the area.

Throughly enjoyed our stay. David is an awesome host, very friendly and welcoming. David gave us maps of places to see and walks in the area as well as places for dining which was very helpful. Great breakfast and accommodation handy to town and restaurants.
