Brackenborough Lakes Resort

Went to a ball on Saturday night and had stayed in the hotel. The jacuzzi bath didn't work, and we're given very little loo roll. The bed was so uncomfortable. At the ball, the food was awful. Mass produced with no seasoning. The only nice thing i ate was the cheesecake.

Customer service is left to be desired, took 10minutes to even acknowledge we was there, also please sort the drive way out, first impressions were not good! Pot holes galore. Decided not to stay and went elsewhere. Has alot of potential but certainly not worth the cost.

Between 15 of us we hired 4 lodges, the place is really nice and the lodges are comfortable. The surrounding area is very nice with lovely routes to walk. Though if allergic to pet hair then ensure the lodge is cleaned thoroughly as all lodges are pet friendly and in one lodge there was pet hair visible, this unfortunately affected one person from our group, at checkout when we advised the receptionist she didn’t seem very interested with our feedback and provided no apology. Other than that issue, it was a pleasant stay.

Can’t thank Katie and her whole team at the Brackenborough for making our dreams come true with the most perfect wedding. Katie has been so helpful and supportive from the start when we booked Almost 2 years ago always there to answer all our questions and help with anytning. No request was too big everything was catered too. Organisation care and attention from the whole team is second to none from setting up our perfect venue to the food quality to the bar staff and waiter staff and beautiful lodges. Absolutely stunning location breath taking grounds amazing staff beautiful food and lodges it felt like we was not round the corner from our house but away on holiday somewhere magical. Can’t recommend the brackenborough enough for a wedding, event, lodge stay or meal. Always 10/10 experience whatever we go for. Thankyou Katie and the whole team at the brackenborough for making our perfect wedding day happen so seamlessly and the most amaizng time for all our guests too.

We stayed there for one night as part of a wedding party. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a beautiful place with great staff. I would like to say a special thank you to Donna on reception, who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay perfect. Will definitely be back!

We were very lucky that my Sister gifted us a voucher for an afternoon at Brackenborough as a Christmas present. We went on a Saturday afternoon, lots of people having the afternoon tea, it was very popular and now we can see why! The service is great the the afternoon tea fabulous. With unlimited tea and /or coffee we didn't notice until we'd nearly finished that the tea is 'Seaside Themed', cleverly thought up! Bottom layer - Fish n Chips in a paper cone, a cheese burger (Slider), Mini Quiche, Finger sandwiches. Middle layer - biscuit crumbs (representing the sand!), Candy floss (representing the sea foam), Mini Donuts with toffee sauce, chocolate sea shells and seaside rock sweets. Top Layer - 99 ice cream cones filled with squirty cream and custard (we ate these first because of them melting) Fruit Scones, Cornish cream and strawberry jam. It was all delicious but the cheese burger slider was outstanding! And I have to mention the tea, I don't know what tea they use but it was really nice! We will be going back, can't wait.

Spent two days here for Macka and India's wedding. Superb location, room superb, and the ambience and experience in the Tennyson suite were brilliant from start to finish. Staff excellent, food exquisite. There's nothing too much trouble for the staff and team. We've had a lovely time and won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Had four night stay in lake view lodge, first had lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, food and waiting staff were excellent. Had two other meals which were extremely good. Could not recommend enough. The lakeside lodge was perfect the interior,view and hot tub. The four night stay was perfect.

Attended a wedding here recently. All i can say and advise is when booking a wedding package please book your own dj separately. The one included in the package was honestly horrendous and I’m not quite sure they can even call him a dj he had not one song anyone asked for even such as Taylor swift for the young children at one point he played an opera song which everyone just had to laugh because we couldn’t quite believe he thought that was a good song choice to play. The bride and groom felt so embarrassed at just how bad he was. So please think twice before accepting there dj included because they can literally make or break your wedding atmosphere and he DEFINITELY BROKE IT. If the hotel read this review please take on board and do better. FIND BETTER. Otherwise everything else was lovely food was great venue was great and the hotel was lovely.
